What's the difference if we are BOTH in the hearse? Or are you trying to say that you automatically live forever if you give your money away because I have never read that in the bible.

To spread the word of God. THAT is the most important thing to do according to the Bible. Not give money away. Otherwise God would turn a blind eye to the Catholic church for molesting little boys because they DO give money away.

By the way, since you started to say what the Bible says, I figured I'd shed a little light on a few things that the Word says about money and giving.

Ecclesiastes 5:10

Matthew 6:19-24

Matthew 19:16-30

Mark 12:41-44

Luke 6:38

These are all great scriptures, most of them the words of the Son of God Himself.

open up a 1-900 crisis center for proctologists that dress up as characters from the Rocky Horror picture show to ply their trade

...I think more that people here react negatively to you because you say things like this, and it appears to people that you mock their generosity. If you don't want to give, don't give. That's not the issue. Just don't belittle the ones that plan to.

First im goin to make sure i NEVER have to worry about a roof over my head(save acts of god),give my kids a nice chunk o change, make sure to give to my extended family i.e.church i mean how can i not?they gave to me and mine when i needed it most.I will have a nice ride.....but nothing flashy money will change me but not so much that everyone knows im rich.My wife will have one as well.

We will have a honeymoon,my daughter will have the graduation that me and her mother never had, college will be taken care of for her and my son, nice used first cars for em both.I will give a few bucks to my best friend whom i have watch her battle with all kinds of adversity in her life, she deserves a little lift.I will send a good friend back home, because he cant stand florida, and didnt believe me when i told him about this, but hes the kind of guy that would give his shirt off his back if you needed it.I will go back to school and update what learned in the field for the last 16 yrs(a/c installer/tech),hey im gonna be honest im still young what else am i gonna do?i dont work thanks to that old proverb i think many know here.

Havent mentioned the parents and such have I?My dad is the reason why ill be able to do this he has waaaaaaaay more than me and well you know how the trickle down effect works.but he invested some cash i owed him and had planned on not telling me.The in laws will get a chunk o change as well.I will go visit my cousin in Texas shoot him a few bucks simply because he didnt believe and he'll be kickin himself for not believing me,i wont save him but i will help him.

I will re-invest my loot in the VND and prepare myself for the long wait and watch, ive learned sooooo much since i got involved in this that i would be foolish not to.And finally i will settle into a life way better than ordinary and live happliy ever after......the end :woot::woot:

HI all!! I'm fairly new to the Dinar game, and extremely grateful that this opportunity has come into my awareness :) I wanted to get a conversation going...if everything falls the way that patterns are showing, many of us will be swimming in plenty of money...there are many people out there who aren't as fortunate as we are and will benefit from our generosity. The question I would love for you to lovingly ponder is: How will you serve the planet with your new found wealth? I am planning on donating 10% to the Childrens Global Peace Project, which is a non-profit organization committed to empowering children through teaching peace skills, and non-violent communication skills all over the world.

This will be your money and you can choose to do what you want with it...I want to lovingly challenge you to find a charity, or non-profit that is serving the world who can use your $$$$ for the betterment of the planet :) And have fun and be free with the rest!

Curiously,

Me xoxoxo

My charity begins and STAYS at home!!!!!! I have never asked or recieved from anyone!

I suggest those who don't believe in giving ($$ or your time) to take a visitor trip to Walter Reed Medical Center or the National Naval Medical Center and talk a walk around. If the visions of men and women with no limbs, badly burnt faces well beyond recognition or paralyzed from the neck down don't haunt your every dream then come back here and tell me you don't believe in "giving." And those are the few that made it home. Many others were not so lucky.

Even though military service is a voluntary act these days, men and women all over the U.S. are securing your freedoms EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. Those wounded and killed in Iraq served unselfishly. Your impending RV is a direct result of our forces and U.S. Govt. taking over their land. Without our forces you would NOT be seeing one red cent.

So, I'm sorry, but you are extremely SELFISH for not giving a donation, your time or even a "Thank You" and a hug to a soldier who put their lives BEFORE yours. You don't deserve it!

Definitely take care of family fist , then I will take my WWII Veteran Uncle Gino who is 89 years old and survived the sinking of the

Destroyer DD529 over in Okinawa and buy him the car of his dreams. His 91 ford torus just crapped the bed.

Then see what the needs of my church might be. Then invest more money into my wine cellar. I make more than I can store.

Good Luck to us all

LOL, I wan't talking about you sweetness ;) I mean, giving to strippers does help the economy, one lap dance at a time. I consider it a donation. You get gratification from donations, don't you?

I don't think his original answer was belittling anyone. He simply stated what he would do with his money. That is his right. I personally will not give mine to organized religion or specific churches. I don't believe it is doing God's work to help the church goers have better paddded pews. Bane is quite right when he says it is our job to spread the word of God--not throw money around. Yes I will help those I encounter, who need help, be it family friends or total strangers. Remember, we were told to "give our alms so the right hand did not know what the left was doing." Be very careful that you are not giving to make a name for yourself, if you give annomously-only God knows your worth and rewards you accordingly.

Hi,Lot of great stuff to consider and do here! Proud to be a part of it.Some real solid people in here!!

I got my DREAM SHEET going [Yes, I was a sailor].Iam gonna just keep doin the kinds of volunteer stuff I do now, only BIGGER...I will concentrate on the LOCAL area, but have some global orgs I give to..KIVA,UNICEF,Wounded Warriors and Bridge to Uganda.Loacally I will do my 10% to my parish ,Catholic charity org,Food cupboards,YMCA,ETC.I also have a sister in law who is a Down's syndrome person and those orgs[special olympics etc] will get a piece.Iam actually thinking of doing a CHARITY TOUR of LOVE to do the donates. They will be anon, but I would like to get that FEELING of grace that goes with these kind of actvities when you do face to face giving.

Then we have the FUN travel and toys and I can't forget the OLD HOUSE here...Many good memories of my family here and I gotta give the old gal a little tenderness and care!! Also I wll secure my children's future as to money. They are pretty solid humans with good ways.Next I gotta do some special for my HONEY BUNNY...She is ACES and I would be dead now without her,Whatever she wants she gets..Diamonds,trips etc ...Nothing would be tooo good for her...Smart,funny,loving and spiritual is she.

Lastly I will set the education funds through for the GRANDGIRLS.Iam doing that now,but the modest savings will never catch the price when they are ready. If they are willing and able they will get a good education..so far they are smart as a whip and are getting the family support they need to get a great start in life!

Lastly..Set up the end game for passing on the remainder to the Children and charities,Learned a long time ago that the cliche of you can't take to with you is true, but you can pay it forward..

Oh One more thing..Since this hobby has taken hold,I gotta get some DONG and play with that.I would really miss this part of the scene here.

I am not heavily invested in this, just enough that I can afford but hopefully my return will get us out of debt and on our feet. Thats my first priority and my second priority is my sons education. But I hope to be able to donate a little bit of money to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. I think that St. Jude's is one of the BEST organizations out there and they provide an excellent service. However, If all I can do is pay off my debt, then when I finish nursing school, I might try to volunteer for them. That would be a great give back also.

Interesting to read all your input, and I'm impressed with all the generosity. Just hope people follow through. We will not give to churches, but to organizations that help children; to several of our friends who've lost jobs or are ill; to Wounded Warriors or other groups that help veterans; to our children to give them a boost up; to food banks. Don't want to spread it so thin that it won't make an impact, so it depends on where reval comes in. I think St. Jude's is great, also. Also want to help micro loan programs, Doctors Without Borders, Smile Train, and The Heifer Project, Mercy Corps, Unicef, wildlife funds, Audubon. We give relatively small amounts to these and others now, so it's EXCITING to think about making a real difference. I'm not getting too excited, actually, 'cause this could go on forever, or never, but I'm hoping. Some of the people who made selfish remarks were kidding & some may never have had enough to give before. But if they do get a big payday & invest it well, most likely they'll eventually share. I had friends in high school who were very selfish but are now very generous. Just took some seasoning. It's all good.

One more comment on this subject. Remember the "I, Me, Mine" can be defined by saying this:

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit. - Philippians 2:3

A heart that is focused on others will not be consumed with self!

God Bless all of you that have invested in this country.

That sounds nice but what they did is not my responsibility. God says not to kill other people. These soldiers went over there to kill others. The Bible is very clear when it says that no manslayer has everlasting life. So why support a cause that God condemns? God is love. And the Bible also says that he who hates his brother does not have any love. If people truly loved one another they wouldn't kill their brother. Like it or not, those Iraqi's are flesh and blood. They are humans. 60% of the ones killed in Iraq were innocent civilians. How could I hug anyone for that?

'Here here' Steve. I may not be religious in any way, but I do follow a good way of life in giving to others. While I may not believe in or quote the Bible, I "DO" practice alot of what is taught there. The main being what is meant by your second quote-"A heart that is focused on others will not be consumed with self!"

It is definitely more rewarding to take care of others as much as, if not more than yourself ! Great Post!

How will I serve, that almost sounds socialist. How about I lead. I lead buy purchasing and old cargo plane and take donation and also buy products to take directly to the needy people and countries not donate to fondations which can be corrupt along with some ministers who hide behind the faithful. I will know how I will lead. How will you lead

Service is leadership...

My charity begins and STAYS at home!!!!!! I have never asked or recieved from anyone!

Closely examine your statement...everything you have in your life right now, you've asked for on an unconscious level...Also, if you've ever said "THANK YOU" anytime in your life, you've received...

Respectfully,

Me :)

I'm sure the IRS will take enough money. And after I get over.I will make sure the girls at the strip clubs are well payed

I can feel the deep wounds you carry...in order to give money away to strippers in order feel lovable is an act from a deep unconscious wound...I want you to know, even though I don't know your physical form, I love you unconditionally, and I honor you for what ever you've been through...

Lovingly,

Me

...like so many others on this site say, "link? link? where's the link? show us your source..."....

Can you you give us book, chapter and verse, where "the Bible says"?

Please don't misunderstand, I'm not accusing you of misquoting, just curious if you know where "the Bible says"

I gave a few scriptures above of what the Bible says about giving....any comments?

Thanks Bane, I just want you to know I'm not really pointing fingers or arguing, I've actually enjoyed this conversation. It's a very important topic...

For me, I plan to give the first 10% to God through a fund set aside for Christian work (TBD), pay off all debt, and help family members in need. I also hope to help struggling veterans who feel unconnected to society after returning from service by trying to establish a transition program utilizing VA. By giving vets skills to acclimate back into society, the chance for success is improved for the individual as well as deter chances for vets from becoming homeless, substance abusers, and disenfranchised. Many veterans are returning to find not only are they no needed by the military, but also a lack of jobs at home. By providing services through a pilot program at the VA (looking to create positions for vets to receive service as well as give back to other vets), WE can be there for them as they were for us and our country.

Exodus 15:3, “The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.” Isaiah 42:13, “The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.” Psalms 24:8, “Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.”

Before man was ever created God was in a war. A war between good and evil. Between Himself and Satan. This war continues to this day. Someday it will even affect Heaven.

Revelation 12:7-9, “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

Deuteronomy 1:15, “So I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among your tribes.”

Numbers 31:48-49, “And the officers which were over thousands of the host, the captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses: And they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.”

There must be one head over the military. A Commander in Chief. Anything with more than one head is a monster. That man then needs able leaders under him. They were called captains in the Scriptures. King David’s great men are listed in II Samuel 23:8-39.

The Bible is full of war and military. God himself is a Man of war and has helped others fight their wars. The battles we fight are to be considered the Lord's battles.

Shall I give you examples of selfishness? I can...
