rsneed
(14/10/2010) Kuwait: U.S. President George W. Bush in Kuwait yesterday, he was proud of what he has done in Iraqand that he and current president of the U.S. Federal Reserve Board, Ben Bernanke, rescued the economy and that “no regrets” any decision taken, and he did not know what is the regulation of “Al Qaeda” and who are the terrorists. The Kuwaiti news agency “KUNA”: The Crown Prince Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received yesterday morning, Bush and his entourage at Bayan Palace. The newspaper “opinion” Kuwait today: the Bush remarks in a luncheon, where he said “when I received my functions I did not believe for a moment First I entered the White House and became president of the United States, and I did not know what is the rule and who are the terrorists, when the head you’ll understand what you do not understand and do not know what to learn. “ Bush said he “no regrets” any decision taken during his presidency. He stressed that “proud of what he has done in Iraq.” He expressed his ticket good for the most serious decisions, to send soldiers to war, and harder on the mothers and fathers, noting that the question of timing is the most serious when making decisions, to answer another question related to the situation of Iraq, saying, “I started the seeds of liberty grow in Iraq and the sacrifices paid off.” In response to questions from the audience about the criticisms made against his team in the American administration during his presidency, he lavished praise in particular the Vice-President **** Cheney, and Condoleezza Rice, who held the posts of national security adviser and secretary of state during his tenure, Colin Powell, who took over the Foreign Ministry before Rice. And the most serious decisions taken by, the description of Bush, how the consultations that took place between him and the current Chairman of the Board of the U.S. Federal Reserve (Ben Bernanke, which he described as the world economic genius, and how that resolution “requests the boldness and a great adventure,” said Bush, “I have been informed, Bernanke if I did not intervene as President of the United States will slip the U.S. economy in a deep state of depression after depression is a serious stage requires a difficult decision, “is to use taxpayer money to extinguish the crisis and save the financial system and economy as a whole. He said Bush, it is not moral criticism of the president, who followed or comment on his policies, but he stressed that the approval to address the global financial crisis was a lifeline, the first and the largest in the U.S. economy recovered from the abyss of severe depression. http://www.theiraqweekly.com/inp/view.asp?ID=19378 6

tripthelight
The word "Federal Reserve" was thrown in there. We are going to see a nice R.V. That is my feeling too. Is this a "hunch" for you, or do you have a reason for saying this? I'm not well versed in all the economics of the RV, let alone how the Federal Reserve might play into this. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Phoenix
That is my feeling too. Is this a "hunch" for you, or do you have a reason for saying this? I'm not well versed in all the economics of the RV, let alone how the Federal Reserve might play into this. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks! Here you go: Iraq's $5 Billion deposit in the US Federal Reserve and what it could mean to those of us who hold Iraqi dinars. In early February 2005, while we were hailing the apparent success of the historic Iraqi elections, the Central Bank of Iraq was depositing $5 Billion into a new account with the US Federal Reserve in New York. All of us, who have been holding dinars, went in trusting the new Iraqi government and the Central Bank of Iraq to do great things with the US dollars we've sent them. Building currency reserves has been a major project for the central bank as the country resumes commerce with the rest of the world. Aware of the need for US dollars in Iraq, we've sent them to them in exchange for their own fledgling currency. We've trusted that it would aid them in rebuilding their economy, infrastructure and indeed, their entire country. This $5 Billion has been accumulating at the Central Bank of Iraq since the introduction of the new dinar in October of 2003. Its deposit into the US Federal Reserve has proven to us that our hard earned US dollars have not vanished into a black hole, but are doing the work we had hoped they would. This account will not only earn Iraq $100 Million per year interest, but is also a bold statement to the worlds banking institutions and the global marketplace as a whole. Iraq is coming back, and preparing to take its rightful place on the world economic stage. These are very exciting times for Iraq. As we celebrate freedom in Iraq and its successful elections, let us also take note of the forgiveness Iraq has received from so many of its creditors. Early detractors had beaten us over the head with this debt, saying it would be the dinars undoing. Today, Iraq's debt is a small fraction of the $120 Billion it once was, and continued write-offs are expected in the very near future. Their economy continues to grow by leaps and bounds. The average Iraqi now has more disposable income than they've had in many years, as evidenced by the huge demand for home appliances and computers in recent months. http://www.ustreas.gov/press/releases/js2240.htm http://betoniraq.com/5bill.html

edithjimmy
I just hope that BO does not try and take all the kudos for it and take credit for the dinars in our Fed resurve. He is a terrible person and does not like sharing the lime light so to speak. We all know that Bush Sr. And Jr. are the ones that put this in play. First time for Desert Storm, and Bush Jr. For the current war that took down Sadam Hussain. Anyway Bush deserves "A BIG PAT ON THE BACK---WAT TO GO" ... and we thank you from the bottom of our bank accounts..
ha ha
l don't care who is responsible for this, l will only care for the RV. Would Macain/Paling have been better able to handle this than President O, l don't think so. If only MaCain had picked the former Gov. of PA as his V P, he would probably have had a chance. By the time the RV hit the Economy, the multiplying effect will certainly boost 0 to win second term. You can't constantly point front finger without the other 4 fingers pointing at you. 4
automag
When this is all over Bush the Jr will be the one to thank for our wealth.Think about it !!! Semper Fi !!! You can thank who ever you choose for this ....It's ok with me.. I choose to thank our troops. They died for this , they were blown the Hell up for this, they are in hospitals, mental wards , and god knows what other burdens they and their families have and will bear for this. 4400 + dead and it ain't over yet 35000 + wounded and it ain't over yet either Untold family trauma...on going.....Untold and forgotten.....................You can thank any politician or civil servent you choose and you would be right to do so. But my choice is the men and women of My armed forces who gave it all.......just for this and just for me. I am at Fort Bragg right now and I am seeing some serious reprecussions over that War in Iraq and it ain't pretty...........So again I say Thanks to the Troops. They got down in trenches for all of us. Again I am not critical of you...just making a point.........from point blank observation. Good Luck and God Bless us All!!!!!!!!!! But most of all God Bless our grunts...They deserve it....By God they really do!!!!!!!!!! One more thing.....I have not heard one Iraq Veteran complain about their service in Iraq or the consequences they suffered. Not One!!! Amazing. Simply makes me proud to be in their presence. Honestly I have never been more blessed than to be associated with these folks...I am proud of these men and women. They deserve my thanks.......and they have it!!! 18

Awesome post Phoenix, and very well said Automag, I grew up in Fayettenam, and I know very well what it is your seeing and know about. I was growing up during the Viet Nam War there while my father was serving, and saw and knew several soldiers who returned afterwards. I was also there during Desert Storm while running a business right off post on Yadkin Rd. I lost everything I owned during that time, but it meant nothing compared to what many families, and soldiers lost during the war. They truly have my thanks and heartfelt appreciation as well. Hey Ha Ha - Get over it. Mr. Obama won the election. Mr. McCain & Ms. Palin (note the correct spelling of their names) have nothing to do with the RV. Mr. Obama may win in '12, though we have over two (2) years to deal with that potential...disas....never mind. The "mid-term" elections will be a repudiation of Mr. Obama's, Ms. Pelosi's, and Mr. Reid's policies. I like your "finger pointing thing". As to your question whether Mr. McCain &/or Ms. Palin would be better able to handle "this" than Mr. Obama? I would tend to say "yes, they would"...but it doesn't matter because, would Alfred E. Newman handle it better? It is moot. The 2008 election is over. Mr. Obama won. How's all that change working out for us? 3
