ronscarpa
REMEMBER, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... So, take everything with a grain of salt ... RON 9-9-2026 Mnt Goat ...I have to say the news just keeps getting better and better. When can we expect the CBI to make a decision on their move of removing the zeros? This should happen any day now. One day you will read it and this is not too far off. I was told by my CBI contact that a committee has been set up months ago to study the issue of the feasibility of coming up with a start date... a draft law was already sent to parliament on this effort to review and pass so they can begin the process... this project to remove the zeros is moving ahead to an advanced stage of determining a date to begin and then announcing it to the public. 1 1 4
ronscarpa
Added @ 9:19 AM MST: 9-9-2026 Stephen [My contact in Iraq update] STEPHEN: Are citizens excited? Are they aware what's going on? IRAQI CONTACT: Right now all the focus is on September 30th. That's all the people are talking about. STEPHEN: That's the date the US military is supposed to leave and Iraq is supposed to regain its full sovereignty. Why is that so important to the citizens? IRAQI CONTACT: It's the date that will make or break the government. All the militias have to hand over their weapons on or before this date. Most of them refused to hand over those weapons. The government has already implied they might be clashing with those militias if they refuse to do so. Iran is pushing them to stay. Zaidi is powerless. (BS) He has no one to back him up. (BS) This parliament mostly consists of militia affiliated members or supporters. STEPHEN: Do you think they will increase the exchange rate soon? IRAQI CONTACT: We have to wait until September 30th. STEPHEN: When we get to the 30th of September, they're not going to fail. That's not going to happen. 9-9-2026 Jeff The HCL was drafted but never sent to parliament for approval clear back in 2007 and has been pending ever since because it's been waiting the entire time for the rate to change. ronscarpa
I'm not in total agreement with Steven's Iraqi Contact. Al-Zaidi isn't powerless, and he has the Law, Judiciary, Military, and the Constitution top back him up - not to mention the US. 2 1
Luigi1
After Zaid wast elected, Parliament gave him extra ordinary powers to make decisions bypassing GOI. Yes, He still retains that power & the blessings of the US. Go RV. 2
BETTYBOOP
It is just gonna appear some day. Then , if what shedagal reported about getting out asap, we are in a race to get moving. Which would then beg the question do we risk waiting to make an appointment or just go for it? If they can cut us off at any point, I think we need to move , get the money changed and in our account and then make an appointment to go back and discuss wealth management. Which may be why Stephen said in the past to get to the bank first thing. Guy (Nato person) responded by saying only exchange enough to get some funds and quickly see advisor. I plan to call my preferred wealth advisor tomorrow to guage their knowledge of currency investments and how quickly I can make an appointment post-RV. They handle only clients with $1 million plus in assets. Hopefully they are plugged in enough to get everything expedited. 1

The issue is he said Iraq "is under no obligation" to give a time frame or even honor it. I'm just saying be proactive about it. How sad it would be to have waited all these years and not exchange in time. 1 1

I have the added advantage as do most with stocks that overnight their portfolio changes in value, this potentially could gives us faster access to private banking like UBS.....a simple phone call to say I am worth ?000000000 will get me through the door quickly and then we can talk cash.....we had no banks sell dinar in Australian so this is a watch and then act! cash is one thing but stocks are another... 1

screwball
3 minutes ago, screwball said: national oil company was in operation around the 70;s.....people still confused...lets wait and see what happens actually i think they are referring to the federal oil and gas law.... A number of the major Baghdad–Kurdistan issues have already been negotiated and implemented through budget amendments and oil-export agreements. The remaining task is converting that political/administrative settlement into the durable federal Oil & Gas Law. recent Kurdish political reporting says there are positive indications that the Oil & Gas Law can now be passed, while Iraqi reporting says the political blocs have reached an agreement to move it forward 1

screwball
That makes the latest statement reported yesterday particularly noteworthy: there is now political agreement among a majority of blocs to proceed with the Oil & Gas Law. 1
