REMEMBER, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... So, take everything with a grain of salt ... RON

9-2-2026   Tishwash  Article: "Al-Zaydi, in a meeting with the framework: The file of vacant ministries will be completed this week."  Quote: "discussions related to completing the government formation will be completed during this week, in preparation for sending it to the House of Representatives next week for a vote.":twothumbs:

9-2-2026   Mnt Goat ...all the news has been fantastic. All the great news over these last couple weeks is all about removing the zeros and how they intend to do it. The Finance Committee specifically said there is NO revaluation to the process. This is not the Real Effective Exchange Rate (REER) which comes later when they move back to FOREX (reinstatement to trading platforms), put the dinar on a float and repeg it to an IMF basket of currencies. Everyone needs to know the difference. This process back to FOREX is a multi-step process. The important part now is the timing of this event of removing the zeros.   WE now have many confirmations that they are going forward with it now.  We know this Project to Remove the Zeros is close at hand and is going to be completed shortly.:twothumbs:

The CBI has now spoken directly

On 26 August 2026, the CBI issued an unusually relevant official statement. It denied reports that it had already printed new Iraqi currency with the zeros removed.

More importantly, the CBI said that any future project involving restructuring currency denominations or deleting zeros, if officially decided, would pass through:

legal → regulatory → technical stages → official announcement → appropriate transition period.

The CBI specifically said that the transition period would allow citizens, banks and institutions to exchange currency safely and in an organised manner. It did not mention 2027.

The question is " Is what they said the same as what they do regarding " delete 3 zeros's process "?? :confused2: the fact is they have been delaying " delete three zeros " for more than 20 years. 😭
