Baghdad Today – Baghdad: Kurdish MP Shirwan al-Dubardani revealed today, Monday, July 6, 2026, that the federal Ministry of Finance will disburse the salaries of Kurdistan Region employees tomorrow, Tuesday. Al-Dubardani stated in a press release, "A decision will be issued tomorrow, Tuesday, to fund the Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Region to disburse the salaries of employees and salary recipients in the region." He added, "The Secretary-General of the Iraqi Parliament followed up on the issue of delayed salaries with the Ministry of Finance, and Finance Minister Falih Sari informed him that he would disburse the salaries of parliamentarians after the salaries of employees and salary recipients in the Kurdistan Region are disbursed first." He explained that "parliamentary staff salaries were disbursed last Thursday, but the salaries of members of this session and the five previous sessions, along with the National Assembly and their security personnel, have not yet been paid." For his part, Jamal Kojar, a member of the parliamentary finance committee, stated in a press release: "Iraqi parliamentarians have not yet received their June salaries," attributing the reason to "a lack of cash liquidity." He explained that "parliamentarians usually receive their salaries between the 18th and 25th of the month, and at the latest on the 30th, but they have not received their salaries this month due to the liquidity problem." Regarding salaries in the Kurdistan Region, Kojar clarified that the delay in disbursing June salaries to employees and those receiving salaries in the region is due to the 120 billion dinar issue.https://baghdadtoday.news/302855-.html
