Hebrew reports: Rapid escalation in the Strait of Hormuz threatens a military confrontation between Washington and Tehran

Baghdad – One News                                                    5/05/2026

Hebrew reports indicate that tensions in the Strait of Hormuz are escalating amid an exchange of escalating messages between Iran and the United States, with signs that the situation could slide towards a military confrontation.

Reports quoted a senior US official as saying that the United States would destroy any Iranian ships or boats targeting navigation in the Strait, as part of a plan to restore traffic, while emphasizing a direct response to any attacks.

It also quoted officials as saying that Washington was “closer to resuming major combat operations against Iran” than it was 24 hours earlier.

Let’s get it over with go in and destroy them completely. This delaying is baloney we got troops on those ships waiting to roll. Can’t imagine being cooped up on a ship for weeks at a time. Obliterating them is the only true answer diplomacy will never work. Man 47 years of hind sight should tell them this talking is a dead end. These people are crazy they been at war for thousand plus years they like killing these Islamic crazies kill each other let one trying to give them peace.

Iran denies attacks on UAE, warns of “crushing response”

Shafaq News- Tehran

Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya military headquarters on Tuesday denied carrying out any missile or drone attacks against the United Arab Emirates in recent days, while warning of a “crushing response” if Abu Dhabi takes action against Iran.

In a statement carried by Tasnim News Agency, the command rejected Emirati claims of incoming attacks as “false and baseless,” adding that any Iranian strike would be publicly announced “with clarity and firmness.” (a pure lie..!)

The statement described the UAE as a major hub for US and Israeli forces and equipment, alleging it has become a base for their military presence.

The command warned that Iran would respond decisively if the UAE moves against Iranian islands, ports, or coastlines, urging Emirati officials not to become entangled in “US and Israeli influence.”

The UAE Defense Ministry stated earlier today that it intercepted three missile and drone attacks “originating from Iran,” reporting three injuries as a result of the incidents.
