US Vice President JD Vance confirmed that the proposal discussed by Donald Trump was more rational, noting that US media had circulated the first Iranian plan that was rejected, while a third proposal submitted by Tehran through Pakistan was currently being discussed.

 

He clarified that the ceasefire with Iran does not include Lebanon, warning that Tehran will face dire consequences if it violates the agreement or does not open the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that Trump has many options to return to war.

 

Vance added that Iran must take the negotiations seriously and accept concessions, noting that Washington has strong leverage that it will use during the next stage, while Israel is working to create the conditions for the success of these negotiations.

Reuters reported, citing a source, that Israel pressured the Donald Trump administration to prevent an agreement with Tehran. (no proof)

 

An Israeli official was quoted as saying that Washington coordinated with Tel Aviv, stressing that the truce does not include ending the war or any  compensating Iran.

 

He added that the United States would insist during any negotiations on forcing Iran to hand over its nuclear materials, stop uranium enrichment, and remove the threat of its ballistic missile program. (Trump already made all this clearly known - this reporter is looking for exposure)

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that the ceasefire terms between the United States and Iran are clear and explicit, adding that the US must choose ceasefire or continued war via Israel.

 

Araghchi shared a post by the Pakistani prime minister on X dated April 7, stating that, “The Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, along with their allies, have agreed to an immediate ceasefire across all fronts, including Lebanon.”

The Iran–U.S. Ceasefire terms are clear and explicit: the U.S. must choose—ceasefire or continued war via Israel. It cannot have both.

 

The world sees the massacres in Lebanon. The ball is in the U.S. court, and the world is watching whether it will act on its commitments.

 

 

Meanwhile, Israeli forces carried out around 100 strikes across Lebanon within 10 minutes, killing at least 254 people and injuring 1167 others, according to Lebanon’s Civil Defense.

The US Vice President JD Vance warned Iran on Wednesday that it would be “dumb” to jeopardise its ceasefire with Washington over Israel’s attacks in Lebanon, dismissing the conflicting positions as a “misunderstanding”.

 

In a press remarks from Hungary, Vance told reporters that the US did not agree that Israel would stop attacking Lebanon, adding, “There’s a lot of bad faith negotiation and a lot of bad faith propaganda going on.”

 

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi shared Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s statement announcing the ceasefire. He highlighted the part about Lebanon. "The Iran-US Ceasefire terms are clear and explicit: the US must choose – ceasefire or continued war via Israel. It cannot have both,” Araghchi wrote.

 

Still, US President Donald Trump and White House have clearly stated that Lebanon was not part of the deal.
