ronscarpa
REMEMBER, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... So, take everything with a grain of salt ... RON 11-13-2025 Pimpy Article: "Iraq's PM Al-Sudani scores big election victory" This is good new. It looks like the people that support al-Sudani have the largest blocks. This doesn't mean Al-Sudani is guaranteed to have the prime minister position. But it's good the people that support him have the largest block. Now they start trying to gather more blocks to join him and then to nominate Al-Sudani for a second term. Hope Maliki isn't sneaky like he always is and finds a way to always win. Let's hope that doesn't happen. Edited November 13, 2025 by ronscarpa 3
ronscarpa
NOTE: Al-Sudani won 46 seats and Maliki only 30, but they're both part of the Shiite Coordinated Famework, who together hold 187 seats - A majority will have to agree on who will become Prime Minister. Maliki can try to block Sudani by gathering more than half (94) to his side. Let's hope & pray that Sudani gets well over 50% of the needed support. That's because they didn't want to put Maliki in again, and he had enough influence to put Sudani (a moderate) in, thinking he could influence or manipulate him - but got a surprise...! Sudani was independent. Edited November 13, 2025 by ronscarpa
