Navy SEAL Captain Ed Gallrein's (retired) accomplishments include distinguished leadership roles in the Navy, earning multiple combat awards, and becoming a qualified Army Ranger. 
Meet Ed Gallrein
 
Military service and combat
  • He is a decorated combat veteran who spent over 30 years as a Navy SEAL.
  • He was selected to command twice as a Navy Captain and twice as a Navy Commander.
  • As a Navy Captain, he was rated as the number one SEAL Commodore.
  • He served as an Officer-in-Charge three times.
  • His military awards include three Bronze Stars, two Presidential Unit Citations, and multiple Combat Action ribbons.
  • He is one of the few SEAL Officers to also become a qualified Army Ranger. 
 
Post-military career and community involvement
  • After retiring, Gallrein assumed the role of President of the Mid-South Chapter of the UDT-SEAL Association.
  • He started an annual Navy SEAL Family Picnic and fundraiser in Kentucky to bring veterans together and raise money for SEAL veterans, widows, orphans, and the wounded.
  • He serves as an Ambassador for the SEAL Veterans Foundation.
  • He has appeared on podcasts to discuss his experience leading SEALs and his thoughts on national security issues.
  • He is a fifth-generation Kentucky farmer who has run for state senate and has received endorsements for a potential 2026 congressional run.
