REMEMBER, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... So, take everything with a grain of salt ... RON

6-10-2025  Pimpy  Look, there's no saying for sure they're going to take the zeros off.  Common sense tells you that they are but they might surprise us.  All we got to do is cross our fingers.  Let's hope they keep the zeros on and they give us a new rate.

6-10-2025  Samson  Article: "Iraq joins the club of advanced countries in electronic payments with 22 million bank cards."

6-10-2026  Militia Man They're going cash less.  That's just the way it's going to be.  They're not going to need much cash.  When they revalue their currency to a different denomination and they apply a real effective exchange rate, they're not going to have big notes anymore.  It's going to be less cash.

6-10-2025  Fnu Lnu  A lot of people are wondering about this digital Dinar issue...I have friends in Singapore who are arbitrage professionals, and affiliated with K2, who is consulting with Iraq.  Here is the explanation they gave me. The Digital Dinar is going to be used exclusively for...nation to nation transactions...and imports in general.  Peer to peer payments will be using both "Stable Coins" and folding currency. The paper Dinar is not being excluded in any way and will be for consumer needs...There is no way the paper currency can be eliminated. 80% of Iraqi citizens are unbanked according to the most recent CBI report and must use hard currency. Stablecoins will allow them to buy and sell without the bank.

6-10-2025  Frank26 Currency manipulation is not allowed by Donald Trump and that's what he's dealing with right now.  And guess what Iraq is doing - currency manipulation.  Who do you think is the number one country on his list to take care of with this currency manipulation?  Who's the lynchpin

6-10-2025  Clare  Article: "The era of the digital republic has begun. Iraq is cashless, and the Central Bank imposes its authority as the 'ruler of the country." Quote: "Al-Tamimi explained that the government seeks to reduce demand for cash by converting transactions into digital electronic formats, which will ease pressure on the public treasury."

Looks like Pimpy’s schizophrenia has surfaced again.  Make up your mind there Fozzy bear.

Fnu Lnu:  This person went against all what they have been spewing for a while now.  His friend says “using both, Stable Coins and folding currency”.   If coins are being used you need an RV/RI.
