5-9-2025   Frank26  Some serious negotiations have occurred with Iran.  If that's the case, wow, we have security and stability.  If you have security and stability in the Middle East because there's no more problems with Iran then there's no reason why not to raise the value of the currency of Iraq.  It's not that complicated.

5-9-2025   Fnu Lnu  Article: "The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) has announced that pilgrims can purchase dollars through designated banks and companies in Baghdad and other provinces." Quote: "The process involves exchanging Iraqi dinars for US dollars at the branches of participating banks and companies."  Well, so much for de-dollarization. Iraq has published an official list of banks and exchange companies who will accept Dinars to buy dollars USD. This interoperability does not hint at an imminent RV/RI but does move the ball downfield quite a bit and shows us that Dinar-IQD and Dollars-USD will cohabitate for the foreseeable future...

5-9-2025   Militia Man The parallel market is about to lose its existence...The illegal market is about to run its course.  That's 100% my view.  The expectation of it getting eradicated completely, non-existent, I think that's happening in a very short period of time and I think it can happen even faster if they change their exchange rate.

5-9-2025  Frank26  [Iraq boots-on-the-ground report]  FIREFLY: TV is showing a significant decline in the dollar in the parallel market again.  The parallel market is now down to 1427.  Whoa!  Sammy says to expect probably soon, that rate will be 1390 and close enough to close that [gab between official rate] completely out. FRANK:  Wow!  That's fantastic news gentlemen.  That's closer than we estimated for this coming week.  That gap as it gets smaller and smaller, sooner or later we will have our new exchange rate because when it closes to a point where it will be able to at least come out at one to one then that's what we're looking for.

THE DOLLAR’S VALUE IN IRAQ HAS FALLEN DUE TO LOCAL MEASURES.”  ...Exchange offices and the local stock exchange in most Iraqi governorates recorded a decline in the dollar exchange rate against the Iraqi dinar on Tuesday, part of a slight and gradual decline that has been ongoing for days. This decline has been going on for weeks not days. [Note: A falling dollar vs the IQD is what dinar investors want to see.]

5-8-2025   Frank26   How much should you exchange [when the time comes]?  That's based on your needs.  Personally I was going to exchange 10% and hold on to 90% and watch it go up in the float.  But I've changed my mind...It seems to me if I did the opposite, if I exchange 90% and invested it properly, by the time I waited for it to go up in the float it'll already be where I started. [Note: Consult your financial and asset protection advisors at the appropriate time to determine the best exchange strategy for your unique circumstances.]

5-8-2025   Fnu Lnu   IMF cuts Iraq Growth Forecast for 2025.  According to the latest World Economic Outlook from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Iraq's economy is forecast to shrink by 1.5 percent this year. Where others bring rumors, I bring the receipts.

This is not exactly an earth shattering decline in the USD.

From 1460 to 1427 is not enough a decline to lose any sleep over it.  Go RV.

5-9-2025   Newshound Guru Militia Man  One of the things they're not going to say is an exchange rate.  They're not going to tell you that.  They can't tell you that because it could damage the whole process of a revaluation...They cannot tell you the whole story but they can educate you along the way.

Within 2% is the IMF mandate to not be considered a MCP and to then be compliant with Article 8 obligations
