Shafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq confirmed, on Sunday, that it is working to provide ATMs and cash payment machines, while indicating that it has directed all banks to spread their financial services in all regions.

The bank said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, "The Central Bank of Iraq is working within its strategy to provide various services to bank card holders, by expanding the spread of cash delivery outlets and through all available channels, including ATMs and POC cash payment devices , as well as authorized exchange companies, electronic payment company outlets, and POS electronic payment devices spread throughout Iraq."

He added that "the Central Bank confirmed in its circulars that it directed banks and non-banking financial institutions to spread and expand their financial services in areas that lack the aforementioned services."

He pointed out that "the bank seeks to develop these services by establishing the latest infrastructure for financial products and services in Iraq, and improving them continuously."

What's the purpose of ATMs ? They have gotten by so far without them. You really only need them for an economy that is about to go boom! 

 

But that's  my opinion.

true that , the articles for the last year have been going on about getting fully digitized once the iqd gets a proper value and those get loaded and unless inside a building they will get drug down the street and emptied , son n law worked at a bank he showed me the security camera feed from his bank took the thieves about 15 seconds to rip it off its foundation and it left the property but if putting atm's everywhere is part of their currency plan ...times a wasting

 im afraid you might have to make an appointment with miss hathaway to see mr drysdale to get the tier one rate .... 🤣

warka bank had over 360 ATMS according to articles plus government owned banks and other private banks dont see this as being to much of a problem will need to change cassettes with lower denoms when rate changes...
