Shafaq News / On Wednesday, independent MP Raed Hamdan Al-Maliki filed an official appeal before the Federal Supreme Court against the House of Representatives’ decision to approve the budget schedules for the year 2024.

 

The appeal came, according to an official document, viewed by Shafaq News Agency, due to what Al-Maliki described as the decision’s violation of the powers of some ministries and its interference with the powers of local authorities in the governorates.

 

Al-Maliki indicated in his appeal, submitted on May 25, 2024, that the decision contradicts the principles of federal financial administrative decentralization No. 1 of 2019 as amended, in addition to other laws, stressing that these violations require reviewing and canceling the decision in order to maintain the sound financial and administrative system.

 

Representative Al-Maliki, who is a member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, added that submitting the appeal comes within the framework of his responsibilities as an independent representative, seeking to enhance respect for the laws and regulations in force in Iraq. He has attached with the appeal the statement of claim and documents supporting his legal position.

 

The Iraqi Parliament voted, the day before yesterday, Monday (May 3), on the budget schedules for the current year 2024, and the budget is scheduled to proceed to publication in the Official Gazette and disbursement by the specialized ministries without referring to the Presidency of the Republic.

Unfortunately Maliki has people in his pocket on the federal court.  Hopefully they all see that he is stopping progress for the Iraqi people and crush his potato head.   This is much bigger than him but man he sure does slow things down and has been for years.

After reading this puss wads appeal, it seems he is grasping at straws to hold it up.  It doesn’t appear to be a legit complaint and that a formality was skipped.  Hopefully they will see through the nonsense.

I wouldn't be surprised if maliki was already "dealt with" and we're watching another masked actor. He was out of the spotlight for a good bit and now he's back front and center with his name all over an article that could impede their countries progress...
