Today, Wednesday, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Economy, Industry and Trade Committee, Representative Ahmed Salim Al-Kinani, and in the presence of the members of the Committee, chaired the dialogue forum on the importance of Iraq’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

 

The media office of Representative Ahmed Salim Al-Kinani stated in a statement, “In cooperation with the Parliamentary Development Institute, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Economy, Industry and Trade Committee chaired the dialogue forum on the importance of Iraq’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Al-Shabibi Hall in the Iraqi Parliament, in the presence of members of the WTO.” Global and others via television circuit.

 

He explained, "The forum discussed with members of the World Trade Organization delegation the possibility of the Republic of Iraq joining the World Trade Organization, and what are the most important measures that Iraq must take for the purpose of initiating accession to the WTO."

 

Al-Kinani pointed out that "the forum was attended by representatives of the Iraqi Ministries of Finance, Trade, Planning, and Agriculture, the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, and the General Authority for the General Customs Department."

https://www.rs.iq/iraq_news/view/629          The general director of economic relations Hashem, Hatem told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) on Friday that “the Iraqi Ministry of Trade has asked the U.S. embassy in Baghdad need to support the United States to Iraq on accession to the WTO during the next few days in order to develop the economic sector in the country.”
