Reuters: 6 people were killed in the bombing of Arbat Airport in Sulaymaniyah

{Security: Al-Furat News} A local official and a security source told Reuters on Monday that six people were killed in an attack on the Arbat military airport near Sulaymaniyah Governorate in northern Iraq.

No other details about the attack were immediately available.

Monday's attack comes a day after 3 fighters from the Sinjar Resistance Units of the Kurdistan Workers' Party were killed in a Turkish drone strike on northern Iraq on Sunday, according to Iraqi security sources.

Two security sources told Reuters that three Sinjar Resistance Units fighters were in their car in the Sinjar region when they were hit by a drone strike.

From time to time, Turkey launches air strikes in northern Iraq and has dozens of sites on Iraqi territory, but it has intensified its attacks with drones in the past few days, targeting sites closer to urban areas and on main roads.
