 Baghdad: Abd al-Rahman Ibrahim

The noose on the terrorist ISIS gangs has intensified, following the security coordination between Baghdad and Erbil, and it has become difficult for its criminal leaders, responsible for attacks targeting civilians and security forces, to escape.

The last result of this coordination was, yesterday, Saturday, as it resulted in the overthrow of one of the leaders of the terrorist ISIS gangs, who was responsible for armoring and booby-trapping vehicles in Kirkuk Governorate.

The operation to arrest the terrorist was based on intelligence information and was carried out by the intelligence detachments with the cooperation of the Kirkuk Operations Command and a force from the Sulaymaniyah Counter-Terrorism Service. Meanwhile, detachments of the Military Intelligence Agency carried out separate operations aimed at overthrowing terrorist elements fleeing from justice, and elaborate ambushes were set up in separate areas in Baghdad, Anbar, Nineveh, and Salah al-Din.
The intelligence ambushes resulted in the arrest of (4) terrorists wanted by the judiciary in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 terrorism in the districts of Mahmoudiya, Mosul, Fallujah and Hamrin district.

In conjunction with these operations, a security force from the Popular Mobilization ambushed one of the most wanted persons and managed to arrest him while he was in the Karma district, east of Fallujah.

In Diyala, a joint security force carried out a combing operation from two axes of the agricultural areas south of Baquba, targeting Baziz Buhriz, in order to secure the tourist road with Baghdad.

The operation also achieved preventing any terrorist cells from gaining any foothold in agricultural areas, especially deserted ones, and securing supply routes for military units in depth from 3 direct directions.
