REMEMBER, no one really  knows what will happen, or when.  They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... So, take everything with a grain of salt ... :twothumbs: RON

Frank   A new national native currency with a new exchange rate with, coins, with a purpose to float the new currency in an international basket ...'There ain't going to be no RI. We won't have an RI.' No we don't have it right now but we have the proof that it's coming.  You have to be pretty ignorant not to understand the proof and the proof is in...articles.

Walkingstick  Remember the exchange rate is a line item [in the budget] that can be changed at any time...when they open the budget the #1 issue to deal with immediately...it's a priority, the line item that contains the rate for the budget...that line item...is numero uno...that's what they are going to be dealing with right away.

Pimpy  There's a lot of questions being asked about what is the holdup. There's a lot of rumors out there being spread one way or another that the big holdup is discussing what the exchange rate is going to be. That is not true. The biggest portion of it has to do with the oil agreement between Kurdistan and Baghdad - how the money is being dispersed...

Yes....in the past the Kurds wanted 17%....supposedly that number now is 12+%....in the past they were offered 14+%....and they rejected that.

The HCL is still the key to all of this IMO.    CL

Once again, it's Parliament that's the holdup, not the Kurds.  Many times over, Baghdad & Erbil had an agreement then Baghdad reneges on the contracts, shortchanges & switch & baits the Kurds as the excuse to stall...IMHO.

If Baghdad can't uphold a simple contract agreement with the Kurds...how can Baghdad be trusted when it comes to international deals & contracts.   IMHO.
