{Economic: Al Furat News} A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee suggested that the House of Representatives vote on the draft financial budget law next Saturday.

Committee member Jamal Cougar told {Euphrates News} agency: "The closest date for presenting the budget to parliament and voting on it is next Saturday."
He pointed out that "the current budget deficit is the largest in the history of the country's budgets, as it exceeded 64 trillion dinars," noting that "the current deficit will be maintained."
It is noteworthy that the Parliamentary Finance Committee continues to vote on the items of the 2023 budget before preparing its final version and submitting it to the House of Representatives.
The State Administration Coalition had set in a previous meeting on May 17 {tomorrow, Wednesday} the date for voting on the budget.

{Politics: Al-Furat News} The Finance Committee, headed by Atwan Al-Atwani, Chairman of the Committee, and in the presence of its members, held today, Thursday, its forty-sixth meeting within a series of important meetings to complete the Federal General Budget Law for the fiscal years 2023-2024-2025.
 

And the committee announced, in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of: "The completion of voting on most of the items and paragraphs of the budget in preparation for submitting it to the Presidency of the Council of Representatives."

Al-Atwani stressed during the meeting that "the fate of large segments of citizens is related to voting on the budget law, adding that the committee is keen to expedite its completion, to proceed in an appropriate manner that meets the aspirations of the people."

The committee completed the reading of the budget items that include determining a percentage for the payment of arrears dues to the governorates as due due to the increase achieved from the difference in the selling price of oil, and the disbursement of dues for the implementation of projects according to the percentage of completion, as well as the mechanism for listing projects according to the investment plan for the development of the regions, and the ripening of ideas regarding them.

The committee also continued - according to the statement - discussing materials related to the provision of municipal services to neighborhoods adjacent to the basic design based on specific procedures, as well as subsidizing electric power and installing generating stations for all regions, and projects consistent with the government's priorities according to the government program, and voting on them in a way that meets the public interest.

And the Parliamentary Finance Committee finished voting on many provisions of the Federal General Budget Law after the ripening of visions and ideas in line with the requirements of implementing the government program.

Cougar reveals new details in the 2023 budget
  
{Local: Al Furat News} A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Jamal Cougar, revealed, on Thursday evening, new details in the federal budget for the fiscal year 2023.
 

Cougar told Al Furat News that: "The budget law includes 17 trillion dinars as other non-oil resources."
"It is one of the border crossings, taxes and collection," Cougar said, suggesting that "the budget will be fully resolved very soon."
And the Parliamentary Finance Committee announced, on Thursday evening, the end of voting on most of the items and paragraphs of the budget in preparation for submitting it to the Presidency of the House of Representatives.
