I can't find anything in the financials about the de-peg.

If true...it would only be a temporary de-peg.  IMHO.

Probably the world is waiting on the US to come under the digital gold standard.

The US is the holdup as far as going digital gold backed.

Once that happens...the new IQD value will be based on the average strengths of gold, USD, EURO, China Yuan, Japan Yen, & Swiss Franc.

This will make the new IQD as strong, solid & stable as the Swiss Franc.

Iraq's economy will no longer be subject to the swings of global oil prices.  All IMHO.

ARTICLE:  The Dollar Exchange Rates Rose In Baghdad With The Stock Market Closed.   Sunday, May 21, 2023,  the exchange rates of the US Dollar against the Iraqi Dinar rose today, Sunday, on the main stock exchange in the capital, Baghdad.  The correspondent of the National News Center said, “The central Al-Kifah & Al-Harithiya stock exchanges in Baghdad recorded an exchange rate of 146,400 Dinars, compared to 100 Dollars, while the prices this morning were 145,200 Dinars.”  He added, “The buying & selling prices rose in the exchange shops in the local markets in Baghdad, where the selling price reached 147,000 Dinars, while the purchase prices reached 146,000 Dinars per 100 Dollars.”
