The first deputy head of the Parliamentary Labor and Civil Society Organizations Committee, Hussein Arab, revealed that the next parliament session may witness a vote on the People with Disabilities Law, if it is included on the agenda.

Arab said, in an interview with "Al-Sabah": "The committee voted on the draft law and submitted it to the Presidency to include it in the agenda and vote on it in the next session," explaining that "all procedural aspects have been completed and work has been made with the observations of the committee that it set, in addition to the supporting committees." Associations of people with disabilities, civil society organizations, and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

 

Arab added that "all the privileges in the current draft of the law are moral and increase their status in society and qualify them to wrest status and privacy for them in society," noting that "the Prime Minister and Minister of Labor and Social Affairs pledged to organize work regarding people with disabilities in a real and realistic manner, as stated in the draft law."

{Politics: Al Furat News} The parliament session has started its regular session.

The session was chaired by the First Vice President of the Council, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, because the President of the Council, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, enjoyed an official leave for two weeks.

The session was attended by 170 out of 329 deputies.

On the 13th of last March, the Council of Ministers approved a draft law to create the Halabja governorate in the Republic of Iraq, and referred it to the House of Representatives "in fairness to this city, and in honor of its martyrs."

The session was chaired by Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, and announced that the next session will witness the first reading of the Federal Budget Law.
