The Central Bank of Iraq has allocated a hotline to receive citizens' complaints and inquiries related to the purchase of foreign currency dollars on the 07755521650 number.

This was mentioned by the bank in a statement issued today, Wednesday, and explained that complaints and inquiries will be received during the official working hours, from half past eight in the morning to seven in the evening.

The Central Bank of Iraq announced that it will start selling the dollar at the new official rate starting today, Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the Council of Ministers approved the decision of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Iraq to amend the exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar, equivalent to 1300,<> dinars to the dollar.

A statement by the bank stated that it "will start selling the dollar at the new official rate, starting tomorrow, Wednesday, 2023/2/8, and will continue its procedures and steps until the dollar exchange rate stabilizes according to the official exchange rate."

An informed source revealed that the Central Bank of Iraq directed all banks, electronic payment companies and exchange companies to use the new dollar rate and sell it to the last beneficiary for 1320 dinars.

The source, who declined to be named, told Al-Eqtesadat News that "the Central Bank sent a letter to banks, electronic payment companies and licensed exchange companies, using the new dollar rate of 1320 dinars."

The Council of Ministers approved the proposal of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank to reduce the value of the dollar from 1450 dinars to 1300 dinars in the general budget.

On Wednesday, the Central Bank of Iraq sent an official letter to all banks at the new dollar exchange rate.

A document issued by the Central Bank of Iraq today, Wednesday, a copy of which was obtained by (Baghdad Today), indicated that "based on the decision of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank adopted in its extraordinary session held on 6-2-2023, it was decided to adopt the exchange rates for the foreign operation (the dollar) as of 8-2-2023."

The document added that "the price of buying dollars from the Ministry of Finance and any other party (1300), and the selling price of the dollar through the electronic platform will be (1310) in front of the sale price of the dollar from banks and informal financial institutions to the final beneficiary, so it will be (1320)."

Earlier on Wednesday, the Central Bank of Iraq announced the allocation of a hotline to receive citizens' complaints and inquiries about the dollar.

The bank's media office said in a statement received by (Baghdad Today), that "the Central Bank of Iraq has allocated a hotline to receive citizens' complaints and inquiries related to the purchase of foreign currency dollars on the number 07755521650."

The Council of Ministers had approved, on Tuesday, the decision of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Iraq to amend the exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar, equivalent to 1300 dinars to the dollar.

Shafaq News / The Central Bank of Iraq decided, on Wednesday, to officially adopt the new tariff of the dollar against the dinar, which was approved by the Council of Ministers in its meeting held yesterday evening.

According to an official letter issued by the bank and appended to the signature of Ammar Hamad Khalaf, Deputy Governor of the Bank, and addressed to (all licensed banks, all licensed exchange companies, all licensed electronic payment companies), it was decided to adopt the exchange rates of the foreign currency (dollar) as of the eighth of this month of February as follows: Dinars per dollar

 

 

 

1300 The purchase price of dollars from the Ministry of Finance and any other party.

1310 The price of selling dollars to banks through the electronic platform.

1320 Dollar sale price from banks and non-bank financial institutions to the ultimate beneficiary.

The Council of Ministers approved in a meeting held yesterday the decision of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Iraq to amend the exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar according to the highest price.
