Shafaq News agency reporter stated that the Central Bank sold during its auction today, for the sale and purchase of US dollars, the amount of 213 million 257 thousand and 246 dollars, up by 18.33% compared to last Monday, in which sales amounted to 180 million 918 thousand and 851 dollars, covered by the bank At a basic exchange rate of 1305 dinars per dollar for documentary credits and international settlements of electronic cards, at a rate of 1310 dinars per dollar for foreign transfers, and at a rate of 1310 dinars per dollar in cash.

 

 

Our correspondent added that most of the dollar sales went to reinforce the balances abroad in the form of (remittances, credits) at 154 million 257 thousand and 246 dollars, while the rest of 58 million and 800 thousand dollars went in the form of cash sales.

 

 Our correspondent indicated that the number of banks that bought the cash dollar amounted to 12, while the number of banks that responded to requests for strengthening balances abroad reached 18, while the total number of exchange and mediation companies participating in the auction was 135 companies.

Shafaq News agency reporter stated that the Central Bank sold, during its auction today, 261 million 660 thousand and 573 dollars, with an increase of 22.54% compared to yesterday, Wednesday, when sales amounted to 213 million 257 thousand and 246 dollars, which the bank covered at a price A basic exchange amounted to 1305 dinars per dollar for documentary credits and international settlements for electronic cards, and at a price of 1310 dinars per dollar for foreign transfers, and the price is for cash sale.

 

 

Our correspondent added that most of the dollar sales went to reinforce the balances abroad in the form of (remittances, credits), amounting to 198,860,000 and 573 dollars, while the rest of 62,800,000 dollars went in the form of cash sales.

For his part, the governor of the Central Bank, Ali Al-Alaq, explained that "the Central Bank launched several packages of measures, and that the packages that were launched are dealt with seriously to control the exchange rate of the parallel dollar."

 

Al-Alaq indicated that "the Central Bank's measures are continuing to control the exchange rate, and we expect a decline in the parallel exchange rate." The parallel price means the exchange rate of the dollar in the market and exchanges, and not the official price set at 1132 dinars per dollar, according to the decision of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Iraq, which was approved by the Council of Ministers. Despite the procedures of the Central Bank and its approval of the exchange rate of 1132 dinars to one dollar, the exchange rates of the dollar still range between 1155 and 1158 dinars to the dollar in the markets.
