Today, Sunday, the President of the Republic, Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid, discussed with the delegation of the United Nations Human Settlements Program the conditions of the displaced throughout the country and the most important problems that impede their return to their cities and homes and the implementation of the Sinjar Agreement.

Rashid's office said, in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that the latter "received today, at the Baghdad Palace, as during the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faiq Jabro, they discussed the conditions of the displaced throughout the country and the most important problems that impede their return to their cities and homes and the implementation of the Convention." Sinjar."
 
 

The President of the Republic stressed "the need to start work and focus efforts on implementation in order to return all the displaced to their cities and homes in a way that secures a decent, free, safe and stable life, and His Excellency stressed that it is not permissible for any refugee to remain in the camps."

The President spoke about "the need to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the relevant Iraqi institutions, including the Ministry of Migration and Displacement, and the United Nations Human Settlements Program at all levels, expressing his readiness to help in this regard to overcome all obstacles, stressing that everyone should support these efforts."
 

The President of the Republic listened to a briefing given by members of the delegation on the work of the United Nations Human Settlements Program in Iraq, and the plans developed with the Iraqi side to resolve the problems facing the displaced and ensure their return to their homes.

{Politics: Al Furat News} The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, reviewed today, Tuesday, at the Baghdad Palace, with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Mark Bryson Richardson, his visits to the governorates of Basra and Nineveh, to see their conditions in terms of security and services, and to follow up on the achievements made in developing their infrastructure, universities, courts, and roads. and bridges.

 Rashid referred to the approach that the government follows to ensure the continuation and promotion of security and economic improvement, due to its importance in supporting investments and the private sector, as well as enacting legislation and providing the required facilities, in a way that helps develop infrastructure and provide the necessary services to citizens.
 
The President of the Republic stressed the need to continue efforts to create appropriate conditions for the return of the displaced to their areas and to turn this page once and for all, as soon as possible, due to the poor conditions in which they live. 
 
For his part, the British ambassador affirmed his country's commitment to support the security and stability of Iraq, and the aspiration to strengthen relations of cooperation and friendship in various fields, and to support economic and social development, construction and reconstruction.
