They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... So take everything with a grain of salt ... RON Sandy Ingram This is breaking news. Article: "CBI takes action to stabilize Iraqi dinar exchange rate" The CBI has announced measures to help stabilize the dinar/dollar exchange rate. One of the measure they are now doing includes allowing banks to participate in buying and selling any amount in foreign currency... Frank26 [Iraq boots-on-the-ground report] FIREFLY: The HCL is still being worked on. They are back in Baghdad meeting right now. This has no final agreement signed now. We're not too concerned about it because we know they're going to agree. As of yet there is nothing that has been signed. This is a sticky point and has to be signed and activated. They have signed article 140, but HCL and Article 140 are different items..[Post 1 of 2] Frank26 [Iraq boots-on-the-ground report] FIREFLY: News here talks about the meetings and the HCL all day...they're saying the only thing Iraq needs is this HCL signed and activated to make Iraq have ability to advance in the International world. This HCL is the final key... FRANK: They just told you the moment they have the HCL signed your currency is going to go International. That's why you have so many platforms already established internationally..[Post 2 of 2] Kaperoni Frank 26 says they are removing the dollars from Iraq...That's not possible because that is counterproductive to the daily currency auctions which are used to stabilize the exchange rate. [and] says the Iraqi dinar is going to go International and in January the Iraqi Stock Exchange is going to go International...Both are already open to the world...The Iraqi Stock Exchange...are just improving their infrastructure and opening web based investing. Militia Man Article Question: [Reference Samson Article Below] "New currency? Does this mean they are rolling out the lower denominational notes too?" They say "This decision will be implemented at the beginning of next year, and in the coming days, the Iraqi currency will be available in the banks," So from that we can deduce it is possible they are talking NSCNs. Samson Article: "Iraqi chambers of commerce make proposals to end the "daily massacre" of the dollar in the market" Quote: "The head of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce suggested "diversifying the foreign currency commodity within the central bank and not remaining a monopoly of the dollar only, the strict monitoring by the Federal Bank on the movement of the dollar from Iraqi banks to intermediary banks." Article 140 might be considered an issue to be resolved for the HCL to be fully enacted. Just my opinion..! RON I posted TWO ARTICLES on the HCL and Article 140 in the "Iraq & Dinar Related News" Forum @ about 8AM PST this morning. It will give you a much better understanding on each one. In the HCL article there are three articles - the 2 most concise are at the end. The HCL is the HydroCarbon Law, also known as the Oil & Gas Law.
