Remember, no one really  knows what will happen, or when.  They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... So take everything with a grain of salt ... :twothumbs: RON

Pimpy  People are getting pissy about the fact that I'm saying Iraq most likely is going to have to re-denominate the currency.  Now re-denominating...has nothing to do with the exchange rate.  What that means is the current image of the currency...most likely will change...Iraq has trillions and trillions of unaccounted for dinar.  We know ISIS ...and criminals, stole a bunch of them and...you have no choice but to re-denominate - create new currencies and tell the citizens to exchange their current currencies for the new currency, straight across even-Steven. [Post 1 of 2]

Pimpy  What you might see happen then is the deletion of the zeros so they might have a new lower denominations...In other words if they delete the 3 zeros then 25,000 dinars becomes 25 dinars.  You still have the same equal value, they're just lower in denominations...That has nothing to do with the exchange rate.  That doesn't mean you're losing money in your investment.  That just means they're removed the zeros and they've re-denominated and the currencies have a new look to them altogether. Any way you slice it,,,your 25,000 IQD note becomes equal to a 25 IQD note.

If they RV to USD $5...that 25 IQD note becomes the equivalent to $125.

You profit 5X your investment minus the handling fees & possible taxes.

Based on what Pimpy thinks Luigi 1 if they slice the 25000 dinar to 25 dinar and they RV to USD  $1.00

then 25 IQD becomed $25.00 which is nothing for holding the toilet paper 12 to 15 years. Luigi 1 $5.00 is not realistic but $1.00 would. As I said this then becomes a lop if this should happen.

No one really knows anything… and that’s a fact, all the information and opinions are great but the reality is everyone is trying to hard to find out the mechanism and what they are gonna do, they continue to talk about the billions and trillions of stolen currency and isis , when the time comes they will know who’s who in country…  no country in the world has printed more money than the US and we still have the most money in the world… and it actually has been gaining strength against the EURO AND BRITISH POUND… GO RI!!!👍👍👍 Merry Christmas!!! 🎄🎁

There will not be an LOP in my opinion. There are to many dinars in circulation all around the globe to have everyone turn in their currency for smaller notes. I just don't see this happening. If it were to happen IMO there would be a new rate announced followed by a couple year period to turn in notes at the new rate, if this were to happen there would be companies popping up on the web left and right to offer you to exchange your notes for a fee so the average American would not have to travel to Iraq.
