The countdown begins.. Parliament awaits budget from government before 9 December

{Economic: Euphrates News} MP for the Kurdistan Democratic Bloc, Shirwan al-Dobardani, called for the government to send the draft fiscal budget law for 2023 before the ninth of next December, that is, before the start of the legislative holiday after extending the work of the parliament for a whole month.

Al-Dobardani said in a press statement that "the federal government is scheduled to send the draft budget law to the House of Representatives soon," noting that "Prime Minister Mohamed Shia al-Sudani formed a committee to prepare the budget as soon as possible and send it to the House of Representatives."
"It is likely that the budget will be sent in December," he said, noting that "the ninth day of next December will see the start of the second legislative recess, unless there is an extraordinary session, so the budget should be sent before the holiday."
He pointed out that "the Finance Committee begins with the first reading, and in the second is the amendments, and then the vote on the budget paragraphs."
It is noteworthy that the fiscal year covered by the General Budget Law ends on December 31 of the same year, and the Financial Management Law, which requires the disbursement of part of twelve parts of the actual expenditure in the previous year, is in force until the issuance of the new General Budget Law.
The size of the federal general budget for 2021 was more than 101 trillion dinars, and the price of oil was estimated at $ 45 per barrel, but the price of oil has risen to almost double that price.
It is noteworthy that the program of the new government headed by Mohamed Shia al-Sudani made it a top priority to push the draft budget law for 2023 to parliament.
In this regard, Finance Minister Taif Sami said in a statement that "the approval of the draft budget law for next year will be before the end of this year."

A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Jamal Cougar, stressed today, Sunday, that the general budget for the year 2023 will be in the range of 125 to 130 billion dollars, explaining that the investment budget is the way to save the Iraqi reality.

Cougar said in an interview with the twenty program broadcast by Alsumaria satellite, that “the expected budget amount for the year 2023 will be between 125 and 130 billion dollars,” stressing that if the government works hard and is able to do the investment budget, this will make the citizen happy, but if the budget becomes operational, controlled by the parties in This is what we do not hope for from this government, whose first steps are promising.”

He added: “The budget funds are large if the government is a reform government, and the amount is not large for the projects that Iraq needs, and the government’s program and its implementation is what determines whether the budget is able to save Iraq,” noting that “the lagging projects disrupt the investment process and the infrastructure in Iraq in general is dilapidated.” And the crisis that young people suffer from due to the lack of allocation of projects that include them and the issue of dollar exchange, which makes it necessary that it be at least 125 billion dollars to meet the needs of the country, and at least 60 trillion investment budgets are needed to advance the Iraqi reality.

And Cougar indicated that "the prime minister promised 47,000 jobs during the next budget because the government cannot employ a larger number because the existing numbers of employees are greater than the actual need for the departments."

One of the important issues of the stabilization of a hyperinflation is the revaluation. The term normally refers to the raising of the exchange rate of one national currency against other currencies. As well, it can mean revalorization, the restoration of the value of a currency depreciated by inflation. The German government had the choice of a revaluation law to finish the hyperinflation quickly or of allowing sprawling and the political and violent disturbances on the streets. The government argued in detail that the interests of creditors and debtors had to be fair and balanced. Neither the living standard price index nor the share price index was judged as relevant.

I don’t recall them ever approving a law until the following year anywhere from March to May, so if it’s done this year will be a miracle
