Baghdad / NINA / - Minister of Finance Taif Sami met Mark Bryson, the British ambassador to Iraq.

The Ministry of Finance stated in a statement, "The Minister of Finance welcomed, at the beginning of the meeting, the ambassador, stressing the strength of the relations of cooperation between the Republic of Iraq and the friendly United Kingdom, and the continuous development and growth it is witnessing in all fields, especially with regard to the financial and economic field and the importance of continuing to work on developing prospects for cooperation and partnership.

For his part, Ambassador Payson offered "congratulations to the Minister on the occasion of assuming the duties of the Ministry of Finance, expressing at the same time the aspiration of his country's government to enhance cooperation with Iraq, especially with regard to aspects of money, investment and contribution to sustainable development projects in the country."/ End H

Finance Minister Taif Sami received on Monday the British Ambassador to Iraq Mark Bryson.

Sami stressed "the strength of the cooperation relations between the Republic of Iraq and the friendly United Kingdom, and the continuous development and growth they are witnessing in all fields, especially with regard to the financial and economic field and the importance of continuing to work on the development of prospects for cooperation and partnership."

For his part, Ambassador Bryson congratulated the minister on the assumption of the duties of the Ministry of Finance, expressing at the same time "the aspiration of his country's government to strengthen the extent of cooperation with Iraq, especially with regard to the aspects of finance, investment and contribution to sustainable development projects in the country."
