Remember, no one really  knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating  their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... :twothumbs: RON

*** Frank26  Why are these powerhouses of financing moving to Baghdad?  IMO it's because Iraq has become (and soon to announce it)...a financial hub. Just their reserves alone is announcing it. Just the economic potential is announcing it...Which powerhouses are you talking about Frank...?

*** Nader From The Mid East  Why it's taking a long time to exchange the rate? The first thing is the occupation. The occupation is gone.  It's true it's gone, the problem they still occupied the country with money.  The dollar. So that they have to change first because Iraqis are buying more dollars than dinars. The second thing they have to change is the 3 zeros...I think they are going to do it soon...It's still a little messy.

*** Pimpy  Here's the article that's the big talk of the town. Everybody's talking about the 20k dinar Article: "20 thousand dinars...the new category under the lens of experts, negative and positive" I've had a chance to chat with people, 'Do you think this has anything to do with the revaluation?" No. Not at all.  When you have a denomination that high that shows you they don't have plans anytime soon to change the value of the dinar or there would be no need for a 20k dinar. In any case there is NO NEED for a 20K IQD note. The 10K & 25K work just fine under the present circumstances..!

*** Clare  Article: "The Central Bank: We will not print a currency higher than 50 thousand Iraqi dinars" Quote: "the Central Bank of Iraq confirmed, today, Thursday, that the new twenty thousand category will carry high security marks, and while he pointed out that there is no tendency to print a category higher than 50 thousand... This category will be an intermediate currency structure and will be enhanced with high security marks from the latest globally and will provide an addition to smaller denominations such as the five thousand and ten thousand."

King USD is back on the streets after CBI worked so hard to get them removed.

Iraqis are losing confidence in their own IQD & their own government.

Riots expected to turn deadly if GOI can't resolve their differences this coming week.

Before moving forward, CBI & GOI must restore confidence in the citizens.

This is first & foremost.  IMHO.
