Basem Khashan comments on raising his picture in the protests: I don't know what these boys want?

Baghdad - people

On Sunday, MP Basem Khashan commented on raising his picture in yesterday's protests, which coincided with the third anniversary of the start of the October demonstrations, saying: "I don't know what these boys want."

Khashan said in a blog post, followed by "Nas" (October 2, 2022), that "four of our children carried this orphan banner as an expression of their opinion based on a flaw in their dealings with the campaigns of electronic armies that are trying to obstruct our reform project."

He added, "The banner brought together three personalities who did not agree on one opinion, so each of them took a different stance from the other, so I do not know the purpose of this banner."

He continued, "Dr. Alaa voted in favor of Mr. Al-Halbousi, attended the presidential election sessions and implicitly endorsed the Sadrist majority project, and did not attend the meetings of the independents who wrote an initiative in which they demanded the formation of an independent government led by an independent, and boycotted the election session to vote on the resignation of the Speaker of the Council and the position of the first deputy."

And he added, "Dr. Muhammad Anouz did not vote for Mr. Al-Halbousi, and he adhered to complete impartiality, attended the sessions for the election of the president, and did not object to the Sadrist majority project and did not support it, and voted in favor of dismissing the Speaker of the Council and voted for the election of the Vice-President of the Council."

He stated that "Bassem Khashan challenged the election law and demanded the annulment of the results, the dissolution of the council and early elections, and he opposed the Sadrist majority project, and contributed to writing the initiative of the independents, which he wrote the most important paragraphs, and negotiated with the political parties for the purpose of passing it, and voted for the dismissal of the Speaker of the Council and ran for the position of the first deputy, which it agreed upon. The framework forces and their new allies.

And Khashan said, "I do not know what these young people want from these contradictory positions. If they do not want to be biased towards the majority project, and they do not want the neutral and they do not want those who opposed it and sought to form an independent government headed by an independent, what do they want?"

He said, "Anyway, our children learned their lesson yesterday, and they will mature and come to their senses tomorrow!"
