Mubasher: The Iraqi Ministry of Oil said today, Thursday, that the total amount of crude oil exports during August 2022 amounted to 101.86 million barrels, according to preliminary statistics issued by the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company "SOMO".

 

The ministry added in a statement that the revenues of last August from crude exports amounted to 9.78 billion dollars.

The Ministry of Oil stated that the average daily quantities amounted to 3.29 million barrels, while the average price per barrel was 96.05 dollars.

The ministry's spokesman, Assem Jihad, said that the announcement of the numbers of export operations and the revenues generated from them is part of the ministry's transparency policy.

Shafaq News/ Iraq's oil revenues decreased by more than 5% last August, despite the increase in Iraqi oil production by 70 thousand barrels, while an oil expert attributed this to prices.  

According to the data of the Ministry of Oil seen by Shafak News Agency, Iraqi oil exports, excluding flows from the Kurdistan Region, decreased by 0.51% on a monthly basis last August to reach $9.784 billion, despite the increase in Iraq’s share in OPEC + and the rise in Iraq’s production By 70,000 barrels per day in August.

Total oil revenues for the month of August decreased by 5.63% to reach $9.784 billion on a monthly basis, compared to July, when revenues amounted to $10.368 billion.

Total oil revenues from Basra oil exports through the southern ports decreased by 4.24 percent on a monthly basis to reach $9.682 billion, compared to July, when revenues amounted to $10.111 billion.

Oil revenues from Kirkuk crude exports through the Turkish port of Ceyhan decreased by 59% on a monthly basis, to reach 102 million dollars, compared to July, when revenues amounted to 249 million dollars. 

In an interview with Shafaq News Agency, the oil expert, Hamza Al-Jawahiri attributed, "The reason behind the decline in Iraq's financial revenues derived from oil is the drop in global oil prices by 6 to 8 dollars, and it is expected that these prices will remain in the range of 90 to 100 dollars for the remaining months of this year unless if There have been new events that will affect these prices.

  Al-Jawahiri stressed that “September will be the last months in which oil production will be increased for the OPEC + producing countries, and therefore Iraq will reach the normal level of its reference production,” noting that “Iraq needs to develop and modernize its export ports on the Arabian Gulf to raise these exports in line with its oil production.

The ministry said in a statement today, Thursday: "The total of oil exports and revenues achieved for the month of last August, according to the final statistics issued by the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO), the amount of crude oil exports amounted to 101.859 million barrels, with revenues amounting to 9.688 billion dollars." .

The statement added, "The total quantities of crude oil exported for the month of August from oil fields in central and southern Iraq amounted to 100.750 million barrels, while the quantities exported from Kirkuk oil through Ceyhan port (1) were 1.109 million barrels, noting that" the rate of The price of one barrel was 95,120 dollars.

He continued, "Additional revenues were achieved from selling quantities of shipments of exported crude oil at a price premium, as the total revenue for them amounted to 14 million dollars."

He explained that "the exported quantities were loaded by 32 international companies of different nationalities, from the ports of Basra, Khor Al-Amaya, the mono-buoys on the Gulf and the Turkish port of Ceyhan," noting that "the ministry, through its belief in informing the people about the export operations and the revenues generated from it, took this monthly measure." .

The ministry stated in a statement, of which "Nass" received a copy, (September 29, 2022), that "according to the final statistics issued by the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO), the amount of crude oil exports amounted to 101 million and 859 thousand and 528 barrels, with revenues of 9 Billions and 688 million and 903 thousand dollars.  

  

The statistics indicated that "the total quantities of crude oil exported for the month of August from oil fields in central and southern Iraq amounted to 100 million and 750 thousand barrels, while the quantities exported of Kirkuk oil through Ceyhan port were one million and 109 thousand and 528 barrels, and that the average price per barrel reached 95,120 dollars."  

  

He pointed out that "additional revenues were achieved from selling quantities of shipments of exported crude oil at a price premium, as the total revenue amounted to 14 million dollars."  

  

He pointed out that "the exported quantities were loaded by (32) international companies of different nationalities, from the ports of Basra, Khor al-Amaya, mono-buoys on the Gulf and the Turkish port of Ceyhan.  

  

The statement concluded, "The ministry, through its belief in informing the people of the export operations and the revenues generated from it, took this monthly measure."

The statistics indicated that "the total quantities exported of crude oil for the month of September from the oil fields in central and southern Iraq amounted to (96) million and (445) thousand and (421) barrels, while from the Kirkuk fields through the port of Ceyhan, the exported quantities amounted to (2) One million and (169) thousand and (180) barrels.

And she indicated that "the average daily quantities amounted to (3) million and (292) thousand barrels per day," noting that "the average price of one barrel amounted to more than (88.83) dollars."
