With this statement from the Saudi Royal Court, it looks to me, like we have two regional adversaries in the boxing ring, willing to ensure the positive or negative future of Iraq.

In one corner we have the Saudi Royal Court, wearing white trunks and, in the opposite corner we have the Iranian Mullahs in black.

If I were to wager on this boxing match, my money would be on the Saudi Royal Court for numerous economic and political reasons.

The Iranians have done nothing but make trouble / cause in the region for years.

I view this as a very positive statement from the Saudi Royal Court for the positive, stable future of Iraq.

Just sayin' ......................

The Saudi government reiterated Riyadh’s support to everything that would ensure the security and stability of Iraq.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired the government meeting that was held in Jeddah.

King Salman briefed the ministers on the message he received from China’s President Xi Jinping that tackled bilateral relations between their countries and ways to bolster them in various fields.

The government highlighted Saudi Arabia’s participation in the ministerial meetings of the G20, held in Bali, Indonesia.

The Kingdom underscored its efforts in accelerating the growth of the digital economy, technology and innovation, and bridging the digital divide through strategic initiatives and projects to connect the world.

The ministers then reviewed the latest regional and international developments.

The cabinet noted Saudi Arabia’s participation at the Arria meeting held at the headquarters of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

At the meeting, the Kingdom warned that the development of cross-border terrorist threats requires a rapid and comprehensive response from the international community. These threats target civilians, vital facilities, energy supplies and the stability of the global economy.

The cabinet underscored the Kingdom’s support for the two initiatives of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to modernize the Seibersdorf laboratories (ReNuAL2) and for Zoonotic Diseases Integrated Action (ZODIAC).

The support is an extension of Riyadh's continuous contributions to the efforts of IAEA and its initiatives aimed at developing its capabilities in a way that boosts its vital role in harnessing atomic energy for peace. It underlines the Kingdom's positive stance on nuclear energy and technology and their peaceful and safe development.

The ministers also noted the ongoing crackdown on drug smuggling, praising the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC), in coordination with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, for thwarting the smuggling of about 47 million amphetamine pills.

Saudi Arabia renews its support for everything that guarantees the security of Iraq and preserves its gains

{Political: Al Furat News} Saudi Arabia renewed its support for the security and stability of Iraq.

The Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers for Shura Council Affairs and Saudi Acting Minister of Information, Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, said in a statement after today's cabinet session, that "the Council followed up on the developments of events and developments in the region and the world, reiterating the Kingdom's support for everything that guarantees security and stability in Iraq." preserving its capabilities and gains.
Iraq is witnessing a political crisis, the severity of which has increased since last July 30, with the sit-in of the Sadrist movement in the House of Representatives, in refusal to nominate the “coordinating framework” coalition, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani for the position of prime minister, and to demand the dissolution of the House of Representatives and the holding of early elections, but it exacerbated more after the events of the Green Zone in August 29 last.
The meeting of the presidencies and the Iraqi political forces, in the presence of the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, and the absence of representatives of the Sadrist movement, agreed yesterday, Monday, on 6 recommendations, including the formation of a technical team to mature visions and ideas and bring the views closer in order to reach early elections after reviewing the election law. Reconsidering the commission and emphasizing adherence to constitutional options in all stages of dialogue and solution.
On August 24, the presidencies in Iraq called for the resumption of "active dialogue" and "preventing escalation", which the country is witnessing against the backdrop of the stifling political crisis that has been going on for several months.
