Shafaq News/ The Federal Ministry of Oil announced today, Sunday, the issuance of an arrest warrant against a member of the House of Representatives, Zahra Al-Bajari, on charges of misleading justice and public opinion, noting that the warrant is implemented without lifting immunity.

And she said in a statement, received by Shafaq News Agency, that the Basra Federal Court of Appeal - Integrity Investigation - issued an arrest warrant and investigation against the accused, Zahra Hamza Ali Al-Bajari, the current member of Parliament, on charges of misleading justice, the judiciary and public opinion by submitting more than "35" complaints. And a malicious and random lawsuit before a number of courts against the current oil minister and the former general manager of the Basra Oil Company, which was later rejected by the judicial authorities.”

The ministry considered that "these lawsuits contain nothing but a set of lies and slanders that are not based on facts or evidentiary evidence, and the aim behind these complaints is to achieve personal goals and objectives."

And the statement quoted a legal source in the ministry, “After inquiring from the Federal Court about its decision regarding the immunity of the deputy, it confirmed in turn what it said (legal measures are taken without the approval of the House of Representatives or its president in the event that the representative is accused of committing a crime of misdemeanors and violations that have nothing to do with his work.”) within the House of Representatives or from one of its committees).

The legal source of the ministry says that this is what obliges the Ministry of the Interior to implement the decision to arrest and investigate the accused immediately.

The statement of the Ministry of Oil indicated that the judicial authorities had rejected all complaints against the current Minister of Oil and the former General Manager of the Basra Oil Company.

The statement called on the media and the press to be accurate in transmitting information, and not to give the opportunity to those who try to exploit media platforms to promote lies and slander and mislead public opinion for narrow interests, stressing that the legal authorities in the ministry will take all fundamental and judicial measures against those who try to offend the ministry and workers. there, according to the statement.

And the Ministry of Oil had previously announced, on March 8, 2022, that it had approached the Joint Operations Command (the highest authority in the Iraqi army) to arrest a member of the House of Representatives from the "Al-Fateh" coalition (Zahra Hamza Ali Al-Bajari) based on an arrest and investigation warrant issued against her by Integrity and Judiciary Commission.
