Hoping Kazemi gets things resolved without a witch-hunt..! However, whoever sent the threatening phone messages should be held accountable. :tiphat:

A witch hunt is when a group makes facts to fit their position. That is not the case with trump. For one minute, think about if the defenders, those that have empowered this man (trump) are wrong. They have unknowingly help to try and tear down democracy, for example: in stead of attempting to try and fix a problem (which was never a problem) in absently voting, trump has tried to discredit the very foundation of our democracy, so people don't trust the government even more. He's not trying to help the people of this country gain faith in the very government he wants power over. How is that good leadership? The examples, if true, are too numerous to count it would be amazing if he is innocent of them all. I don't blame trump, it it those that have enabled him that are to blame.

Shafaq News/ An informed political source revealed that, on Tuesday evening, the caretaker Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi held an unannounced meeting in the government palace with the leaders of the coordination framework to discuss the repercussions of the progress of the Sadrist movement's supporters towards the building of the Supreme Judicial Council, in addition to discussing files on political affairs.

The source told Shafaq News Agency, "The meeting was attended by leaders in the coordination framework, in which the repercussions of pressure on the judicial institution by the demonstrators of the Sadrist movement were discussed, along with the government's response to that, as well as strengthening the security effort in the Green Zone and protecting diplomatic bodies and embassies." .

He added that the meeting discussed "the options available for the next stage and the continuation of the dialogue."

The source indicated that "Al-Kazemi affirmed his commitment to maintaining the security and protection of state institutions, not allowing any new violations and preventing the entry of any convoys or private cars into Baghdad."

Dozens of Sadrists' supporters went to the Supreme Judicial Council and began erecting the sit-in in front of the council building, in a new development of escalation that affected the judiciary after the legislative authority in light of a stifling political crisis the country is going through.

In the afternoon of the third, "Sadr Minister" Saleh Muhammad al-Iraqi advised the demonstrators in front of the Supreme Judicial Council building to withdraw in order to "preserve the reputation of the revolutionaries, and not to harm the people", with the protesters continuing to sit in front of the parliament building.

The head of the Supreme Judicial Council in Iraq, Faiq Zaidan, had confirmed, during his meeting with the commander of the special squad in charge of protecting the Green Zone in central Baghdad, Lieutenant-General Hamid Al-Zuhairi, earlier today, "respect for the right to peaceful demonstration guaranteed under the constitution, but on the condition that the buildings of state institutions are not attacked." , and its affiliates.

As a result, the judiciary in Iraq decided, on Tuesday, to suspend its work in the country, before its appeal resumed this evening, following a sit-in by supporters of the Sadrist movement in front of the Supreme Judicial Council demanding the dissolution of the Iraqi Council of Representatives.

I’ve already been shocked at how much hate this country has for one another, don’t know that anything that has to do with trump can shock anyone any more. Again, it’s more shocking to watch the lengths people will go to to defend his action, or avoid seeing the situation with an Unbiased mindset. I would be more than okay if I’m wrong because that would mean the man actually cares about America, the country I love, but everything I see when it comes to him is a man that only cares about himself. I’m cool with being wrong, what about you?

A new turn of the crisis

These developments came after the political crisis in the country took a new turn yesterday, Tuesday, after the Sadrist movement announced an open sit-in before the Supreme Judicial Council, which prompted the latter to announce the suspension of its work, its courts, and the Federal Court, before deciding later to appeal it from today.

The council said that it had decided to resume work in all courts after the protesters withdrew, but stressed the need to take legal measures "against anyone who violates the law and disrupts public institutions."

It is noteworthy that the Sadrist escalation came in what is still an ongoing confrontation between al-Sadr and the coordination framework (which includes Nouri al-Maliki and the Al-Fateh Alliance, and factions close to Iran), ten months ago, that is, since the parliamentary elections, which took place on the tenth of last October, in which the Sadrist movement won The largest share of deputies in Parliament, without being able to form a government with the Kurdish and Sunni Arab parties, without the participation of his rivals in the framework.

The sources told Shafaq News Agency, "There are efforts from many parties, led by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi and the leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance Hadi Al-Amiri, in order to persuade the Sadrist movement to participate in the meeting of political forces, which is hoped to be held tomorrow, Thursday, at the government palace, under the auspices of Al-Kazemi."

The sources indicated that "the Sadrist movement's failure to participate in the meeting of the political forces, may push Al-Kazemi to postpone tomorrow's meeting, Thursday, and therefore the efforts to persuade the Sadrists continue, amid a strong refusal by the leader of the movement, Muqtada Al-Sadr, from his participation or sending his representative to the upcoming meeting, which is threatened with postponement." ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Iraqi heads of judiciary, parliament, and the executive branches reiterated on Wednesday that the current political stalemate and crisis have to be solved via the country’s constitution.

The remarks came during a meeting hosted by Iraqi President Barham Salih in Baghdad, where Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Al-Halbousi, President of Supreme Judicial Council Faiq Zidan, and Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi attended.

In a joint statement released after the meeting by the Iraqi Presidency, the top officials agreed the ongoing political crisis would have a negative impact on the security and stability of the country, urging all political forces to thwart further tension.

They also expressed their support for any efforts that would lead to an “active dialogue” between the conflicting sides, the statement added.

Protecting the state institutions was stressed by all sides, it added.

The quad leaders’ meeting came after the followers of powerful Shiite cleric Moqtada Al-Sadr staged a sit-in in front of the judiciary building on Tuesday. The judicial authorities suspended their work across the country in protest of the gathering.

The Sadrist protests were triggered by the refusal of the judiciary to dissolve the Iraqi parliament. Al-Sadr later called on his supporters to withdraw from the site.

The Shiite Coordination Framework, a political group of mainly pro-Iran forces, is engaged in a  tug-of-war with the Sadrists over the country’s political future for more than nine months.

A new meeting of political forces in the coming days

{Politics: Al Furat News} The political analyst, Adnan Al-Sarraj, suggested a meeting that includes all political forces in the coming days.

Al-Sarraj told Al-Furat News that: "Most of the political forces, except for the Sadrist movement, met and will hold a new meeting in the coming days to negotiate the country's future and revitalize the political process."
He added, "The current differences are complicated because of the current's insistence on implementing its demands to dissolve the parliament, and this is what the political forces reject, and the measures through which the political process can be moved must be through the law and the constitution."
"There is no way but dialogue to end the political crisis, and no party can impose its will," Al-Sarraj stressed.
He explained, "Some political forces believe that the time is still early and dialogues can be opened with the leader of the Sadrist movement, Mr. al-Sadr for the sake of national consensus; but other parties believe that waiting for a long time will delay the formation of the government, and the street cannot bear the continuation of the crisis, especially since there is a disruption of the budget."
Al-Sarraj added, "It is not correct for the House of Representatives to remain in place, and the constitutional institutions must be activated," noting that "the crisis has moved to the national space, and this could cause a break in wills, and it is very dangerous in a country like Iraq's societal, clan and partisan, and the solution is to draw middle lines towards revitalizing institutions." state and work to form a government.

The Democrat: An important meeting of the leaders of the political forces in Erbil

{Politics: Al Furat News} A member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Ali Al-Faili, revealed an important meeting of the leaders of the political forces in Erbil, with the joint efforts of the political parties.

Faily said; For the program “Al-Mastra” broadcast by Al-Furat satellite channel tonight: “In the next few days, an important meeting will be held for the leaders of the blocs in Erbil to bring the views closer, and efforts are intensifying towards the presence of the Sadrist movement with the joint efforts of Massoud Barzani, Hadi Al-Amiri and other forces.”
He added, "The crisis has reached a dangerous stage, and everyone must feel the gravity of the situation and make efforts to stop this deterioration, regardless of the parties to the conflict, because the problem has begun to expand and other parties have begun to form, and the problems must be reduced, not expanded, and the judiciary has accepted it."
Al-Faili stressed, "The problem is between two parties to the political process, and now everyone must feel the danger of things slipping into something worse, and the leaders of the Kurdistan region have spared no effort to bring their views closer."
He continued, "Just as the current problem is not devoid of personal side, and the need is confirmed today to break the psychological barrier, as for Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi's initiative, it was born dead because the main party did not attend and did not carry real outcomes, but general ideas by sitting at a dialogue table."
And Al-Faili said, "Any initiative must touch the essence of the problems and outstanding issues and include concessions and the requirements of the two parties, and the democrat sees the public interests and the future of the political process regardless of alliances. There are identical and different points of view, and our alliance with the current was not at the expense of the framework."
He pointed out, "The influence of the United Nations is limited and it seeks to bring views closer, and problems must be resolved at a dialogue table between the political parties, and everyone agrees to dissolve parliament and hold elections; With the results, we supported the framework's initiative to form a government for a year that would hold early elections."
Al-Faili stressed, "The election law must be studied extensively and reflect the reality on the results as well as in the issue of the Commission and any effort that contributes to getting out of this predicament, we are with him, and the current problem is not in these matters, but rather purely political between two parties."
Regarding holding a parliament session outside its building, Al-Faili said, "We are not against convening the parliament session, but convening it in another place will complicate the political scene more, but if its convening contributes to the solution, we will be with it, and the Democrat is currently seeking to bridge the views between the parties through delegations to and from Baghdad."
