America steals a cargo of 100 tankers of Syrian oil to northern Iraq

{Local: Al-Furat News} The Syrian "SANA" agency said that the US forces have intensified looting and stealing the wealth of the Syrian people and transferring them to their bases in Iraqi territory.

She added that "its cameras monitored dozens of tanks loaded with stolen Syrian oil heading to the illegal Mahmoudiya crossing on their way to northern Iraq."

The agency quoted local sources from the Yarubiyah countryside as saying that "during the past hours, the American forces expelled, in batches, a convoy of 100 tanks filled with Syrian oil from the countryside of Hasaka to Iraqi territory through the illegal Mahmoudiya crossing."

According to its information, "the US forces yesterday transported a convoy of 89 tankers loaded with stolen oil to their bases in Iraqi territory through the illegal Mahmudiyah crossing designated for the theft of oil from the Syrian fields."

They've used the wrong word it isn't stealing it's confiscating. The country where the oil came from is under UN sanctions.

To be sure...and the Nazis went around " confiscating " stuff for quite a long time.

I imagine ( a UN call to the WH will clear this up ) it's all just a big misunderstanding and we'll no doubt be happy to return the " confiscated " Oil that we " confiscated " ...under the direct & explicit orders from our Commander in Chief.

Rockets landed near the Green Village base, marking the second projectile attack on US forces in Syria on Monday.

Remnants of rockets fired at Green Village, a coalition base in eastern Syria, are seen in this image posted Aug. 16, 2022. - US Central Command

Two rockets landed near a US-led coalition base in eastern Syria on Monday night, marking the second reported attack on US forces in the country in one day.

The projectiles struck near the Green Village base in Syria’s eastern Deir ez-Zor province. Several other rockets that had failed to fire were later located by US troops and the local Syrian Democratic Forces militia, the coalition said in a statement.

No one was hurt and no damage reported in the latest incident, according to the coalition.

Why it matters: There are roughly 900 US troops remaining in Syria in the wake of the campaign against the Islamic State.

US forces and the Syrian militia members they train and support frequently come under harassing rocket fire and are occasionally targeted in drone attacks often thought to have been launched by local militias backed by Iran.

Earlier on Monday, the US outpost at al-Tanf on Syria’s desolate southern border with Iraq and Jordan, came under attack by “multiple” armed drones, the coalition said. No casualties or damage was reported and coalition forces were able to knock down one of the drones.

US troops at Green Village previously took rocket fire in January. Those projectiles damaged part of the base and a nearby mosque, the coalition said, but no one was hurt. At least five drones struck the al-Tanf base last October, damaging facilities used by troops, who had evacuated the area ahead of the strike.

What’s next: After nearly two years of relative calm, Russian forces have once again begun to turn up the heat on the Americans in Syria.

Russian aircraft bombed a combat outpost at al-Tanf in June after warning US counterparts of the impending strike. The Russians claimed that Syrian government troops had come under fire in the area.

Last month, the new commander of all US forces in the Middle East, Gen. Michael “Erik” Kurilla, attributed the renewed harassment to the arrival of a new Russian commander in Syria, Col.-Gen. Aleksandr Chayko, who had previously overseen its forces in Ukraine.

Kurilla told US troops and reporters during a visit to the al-Tanf garrison that he expects the Russians to continue probing US defenses until a response is provoked in order to determine the US’ red lines.

Know more: US Central Command, which oversees American troops in the Middle East, is dusting off old ideas in hope of mitigating risk to its forces, which are spread thinner in the region than they’ve been in nearly two decades.

Shafaq News/ The US military announced, on Wednesday, that it had carried out raids targeting the facilities of groups it said were affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards in Syria.

A statement by the spokesman for the Central Command of the US Army, Colonel Joe Bush, said that the US forces carried out, at dawn today, precise raids in Deir Ezzor in Syria against infrastructure facilities used by groups linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

Buccino indicated that these strikes came under the direction of US President Joe Biden, to defend and protect US forces from attacks similar to those that occurred on the fifteenth of this month and carried out by Iranian-backed groups.

Buccino added that the United States does not seek escalation, but will continue to take the necessary measures to protect its people, and that American forces remain in Syria to ensure the enduring defeat of ISIS.

The strike targeted 9 caches of ammunition in Deir ez-Zor belonging to Iranian-backed groups, Buccino reported to the American Al-Hurra website.

Buccino explained that the original goal was to destroy 11 ammunition depots, but the attack on two depots was canceled, after it was noticed that people moved close to their location, to ensure that civilians did not fall.

For its part, the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that "American planes targeted the Ayyash warehouses affiliated with the Iranian militias in Deir Ezzor," according to a statement issued today.

A week ago, Al-Tanf base in Syria was attacked by "drones", the second of its kind, since October 2021.

Forces from the International Coalition, led by the United States of America, are deployed in Al-Tanf, in addition to forces from the "Maghawir Al-Thawra Army", a local military faction that receives logistical and military support from the latter, and is considered one of the most prominent forces deployed there.
