The Kurdistan Democratic Party comments on the appearance of al-Maliki armed: evidence of weakness

Baghdad - people

On Thursday, the Kurdistan Democratic Party commented on the appearance of al-Maliki armed, after the protests organized by the Sadrist movement and the entry of demonstrators to the parliament building.

A member of the Political Bureau of the Democratic Party, Jaafar Aminki, said in a blog post followed by "Nass" (July 28, 2022): "I was never impressed by the armed appearance of Mr. Nuri al-Maliki last night. This is evidence of weakness, not strength."

He added, "I respect him despite our different political views," noting, "I've known him since 2003, when we first met on Radio Sawa. He was talking about the lost future of Iraq, which we are still searching for."

The head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, sparked widespread controversy after he appeared on a street with his private guard carrying a "machine gun" coinciding with the protesters storming the parliament building.

Pictures of al-Maliki and his armed men were circulated wandering in a street, while the leader of State of Law appeared carrying a machine gun while touring with his group.

The spread of these images comes after the head of the State of Law coalition issued a statement on Wednesday evening, in which he said: "The entry of demonstrators from any side to the courtyards of the House of Representatives in the Green Zone and violating the security protection of the region is a flagrant violation of the legitimate right to demonstrate... Intersections with the protections of MPs and officials.

Al-Maliki added in his statement: "Therefore, the government of brother Al-Kazemi must assume its constitutional responsibilities in protecting the security and social situation and avoiding bloodshed among Iraqis, and it will use legitimate means to deter any attack on the prestige of the state and its institutions. The right to legal protest and not to be drawn into calls for confrontation with the forces in charge of protection,” he said.

- Yesterday against the dictator and today against corruption and dependency, that is why you reminded us of the popular revolution
- you raised our heads high.. God increased you in honor and glory.

Therefore, as he said:

The last intervention by (His Eminence) regarding the demonstrations if the corrupt continues Their stubbornness, corruption, injustice, subordination, and hatred of the homeland... If the people are in this discipline, they deserve to be the leader and the one who decides their fate, so

Shafaq News/ A prominent leader in the Sadrist movement revealed, on Thursday, the escalatory steps that the supporters of the movement will take in the event that a parliamentary session is held to pass the President of the Republic and assign the Coordinating Framework candidate, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, with the tasks of forming the government.

The prominent leader told Shafaq News Agency, asking not to be named, that "the Sadrist movement's audience is preparing for an open sit-in in front of the Iraqi parliament, if such a session is held."

He added that "the Sadrist movement's audience will take all popular escalation methods, to prevent the passing of the President of the Republic and the assignment of the Sudanese, and the escalation may turn not only to a sit-in, but even to civil disobedience, which is the option strongly proposed," according to him.

Earlier today, the Presidency of the Iraqi Council of Representatives denied setting a date for the election of the President of the Republic, stressing that what was published about setting it as "next Saturday" is not true.

Shafak News Agency monitored; Movement and calls within the Sadrist movement, published on social media, threaten to storm the House of Representatives again if the coordinating framework insists on the nomination of Muhammad Shia al-Sudani for the position of prime minister.

Found these events to be very interesting. M with a rifle in his office, LOL, probably a good thing, i m o. But I was watching the information on YouTube and these people who were going into these offices they weren't upset, they were laughing and smiling. Not like any protesters I've ever seen. I don't know this just seems, familiar. Just saying. Sort of like the video on YouTube of January 6th where the guards are waving the protesters inside and allowing them to enter and now everybody wants to know how in the world did this happen and who's to blame. Deja vu.

Saddam's days were better? Come on CBI, didn't you know that your iraqi citizens thought Saddam's days were better. Then what are you waiting CBI? Just return to SADDAM'S RATE immediately before the protesters are getting out of control, taking over the parliament and burning the building down.

You can't return to Saddam's days cause Saddam is already dead gone no more. However, you ( protesters ) can demand to return to Saddam's rate $3+. That's even better. Hopefully.
