That’s exactly what they should do but not sure what new elections would gain.

The same people would get voted in and now your back to square one.
I’m still of the belief that Al-Sadr has a plan, maybe it’s resurrecting his followers to burn down the city but hard to believe he just handed over the keys to Iran….

I feel that Sadr has committed his plan of having his followers resign so that Iran gets more powerful in Iraq of which he has handed this over to Iran on a silver platter. I believe he is hoping to be the new religious leader for the country with blessings from Iran.

I really thought that once they got out of chapter 7 sanctions that it would be time to finally move forward.  Instead they have stepped back 15 years only to be taken over by Iran.

Not sure you can move any further back than the stone age.

If Al malaki has already served 2 terms in office, and that is the limit he is allowed how can he become pm again? OR IS IT 2 CONSECUTIVE TERMS BUT HE CAN RETURN AFTER THESE HAVE PASSED AND STILL BE PM. Surely somebody will have the commonsense to stop this from happening?

Maliki’s like Emperor Palpatine, he seems to find a way to get power and stay alive.

As long as he allows an RV, I could care less…but according to many on here he is the one who stopped Shabbibi from pulling the lever in 2012-13.

And regarding the meeting of the leaders of the coordination framework yesterday, Monday, Al-Aboudi said that "the meetings of the forces of the coordination framework revolve around developing a road map to draw the details of the political process in the country, given that the Shiite framework is open and seeks to achieve inter-understandings within the components of the political process (the Sunni house and the Kurdish house).” .

He pointed out that "the framework will announce or present a set of criteria for choosing or naming the next prime minister, and so far he has not specified a specific name for the prime minister, and what is happening about that are only dialogues. The first row for any of the Shiite political forces participating in the government."

The leader of the Al-Hikma Movement stressed that "the forces of the Shiite framework are understanding and strong and have convictions that work according to them, which inevitably serves the interest of the country."

On the role of the framework in the Kurdish understandings, Al-Aboudi said that "the framework worked seriously to activate dialogue and understanding between the two main parties (the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan) and so far there is no agreement between the two parties on the personality of the President of the Republic, but there is insistence from the Union Party to pass its candidate.
