Russia is forming it's own G8. A bunch of countries. Brazil, Iran, India etc.

My guess on this whole thing in Iraq is, all the stupid stuff we see every day in this Iraq situation, is just Iran interfering, trying to be a World Power, by controlling lots of the world's oil. What appears stupid is mostly nastiness. The real fighting is behind the scenes. It doesn't take 20 years to do this. They screwed over the Iranian currency to try to keep them in line. Yet? Iran is still alive and kicking.

This continues to be a proxy war between America and Iran. I hope America wins. Trump said let Russia join NATO. Should have listened to him. Then inflation would have been low. Then the Russian alliance with Iran, would be much weaker. The more America is dependent on getting oil from outside of America, the more beholden America is, to bullshit wars like this.

If you buy tickets to a ****-show, you see this: :bs::bananacamel::twocents: :cheesehead:

A more powerful position is oil independence, like you had, under Trump. Then you don't have to kiss everyone's ass to get oil. However, that's just more hot ail....it will be, what it is. Keep your fingers crossed. Might still work out. Enjoy the **** show.

Al-Maliki: There are many points of convergence with the Sadrist movement, and simple differences should not separate us

Al-Maliki said in a tweet on Twitter: "Our relations with Islamic forces, parties and currents, including the brothers in the Sadrist movement, have a great goal and are related to a serious responsibility, which always requires us to be careful about it, and to search for points of convergence, cooperation and integration, which are many, not intersection and disharmony or rivalry and exclusion, which is It is not our approach that we learned from our guided imams, peace be upon them, and it does not serve our faith, our homeland and our people in this difficult circumstance.”
He added, "We will continue to adhere to this position, and extend our hands to everyone in cooperation with all the benevolent Islamic and patriotic forces and the responsibility, whether they are inside or outside Parliament, as long as the goals and challenges do not differentiate between us."

Al-Maliki stressed, "We should not separate us from differences, which are considered simple and not strategic. We may differ in some positions, but cooperation and keenness on unity is the basis and fixed strategy for us."

Huge fires witnessed in the north of Algeria

The crisis in Iraq is raging, reaching the "highest stages of political escalation," as analysts told Al-Hurra, after Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr carried out his threat and withdrew from the political process, days after his bloc's representatives submitted their resignations from Parliament.

Since the early legislative elections last October, the political process in the country, which is facing many social and economic benefits, has not moved.

And last Wednesday, Al-Sadr told the resigned MPs: "I decided to withdraw from the political process so that I would not participate with the corrupt in any way, neither in this world nor in the hereafter."

Professor of political science at the University of Kufa, Iyad al-Anbar, told Al-Hurra that al-Sadr's withdrawal is a step towards the highest stages of political escalation, adding, "It is an attempt to rearrange the equation of political power from outside its corridors."

He explained, "With this step, al-Sadr wants to be outside the legislative authority, at least, in an attempt to explicitly not ally with the traditional force that insists on going toward consensus."

Political evasion?

Eight months after the early legislative elections, the main political parties in the country are still unable to agree on the next government, and each of them claims to have a majority in parliament, which includes 329 deputies.

Sadr's political opponents say within the coordinating framework that they own a bloc of about 100 deputies, and they are pushing for the formation of a consensual government that includes all Shiite parties, as was the political tradition in Iraq for years, which al-Sadr rejects.

The coordinating framework includes Shiite blocs, most notably the State of Law led by former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, and the Al-Fateh bloc representing the pro-Iranian Popular Mobilization factions.

On the other hand, the Sadrist movement, which heads the "Save the Homeland" alliance with the Sunni "Progress" bloc led by Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi, and the Kurdistan Democratic Party, wants to form a majority government, stressing that its bloc is the largest in parliament (155 deputies).

And whether Al-Sadr's move was aimed at obtaining concessions, Al-Anbar said: "The timing of concessions has ended, and we must now think about the next steps."

However, the Iraqi political analyst, Raad Hashem, spoke to Al-Hurra about what he described as "cases of begging" and sending delegations, and explained: "Mr. Al-Sadr knows that Iran does not want its groups to be alone with a parliamentary majority and rule, but rather wants a large, unified Shiite bloc that is not divided." ".

He added, "Al-Sadr is accustomed to taking such steps, to form a mass pressure point, break the blockage or obtain political gains."

Illegal

All possibilities remain on the table, says Al-Amber, as members of the Sadrist movement have not been replaced by new representatives taking the oath until this moment.

Although al-Halbousi accepted the resignations of al-Sadr's bloc (73 deputies), experts say that parliament must still vote by an absolute majority on this after achieving a quorum.

Commenting on this, Amber says: "Legal opinions differ on this, but the final decision may be the replacement of the Sadrist seats and their taking the oath in the House of Representatives."

However, Parliament has been in recess since the ninth of June and for a period of two months, while Amber expects to hold an emergency session for the new members to take the oath.

If this happens, Amber says: "The crisis will be almost completely over, and then we can say that Mr. Al-Sadr gave up his seats and became outside the legislative authority."

The Iraqi electoral law stipulates that upon the resignation of a deputy, the position of the resigned representative with the second largest number of votes in his constituency shall take over.

next step

As the scene becomes more complex and blurry, Amber and Hashem talk about two factors that may indicate the next step, which is the formation of the government, and the demonstrations in the street.

Hashem says, "Al-Sadr knows that his withdrawal will inevitably lead to an imbalance in the political process, and that everyone will rush to him to appease him.

But among the conditions called for by al-Sadr is the separation of the Popular Mobilization Forces from the armed factions in Iraq, which Hashem describes as a "difficult condition for the coordination framework to accept."

Despite the decline of the political bloc representing the Popular Mobilization factions in the elections, these formations, whose fighters are estimated at 160,000, remain an important player on the security and political level in the country.

It is expected that the independents and the coordinating framework will benefit from the 73 Sadrist seats, with the increase in the number of their seats.

Hashem believes that the coordinating framework will benefit from al-Sadr's withdrawal if he insists on this, saying: "He is realizing a long-awaited dream for the framework so that the scene will prevail and rule in Iraq."

Hashem concludes that Sadr's move increases the risks of the conflict in Iraq.

Parliament exceeded the deadlines stipulated by the constitution, and failed three times to elect a president of the republic, due to the political dispute and the inability of any party to resolve matters.

Options have been put forward, including the dissolution of parliament and the organization of new elections, but parliament can only be dissolved by a decision of the House of Representatives itself.

Al-Anbar expects that the political scene will turn in the near future to "either al-Sadr or his opponents from the Shiite political parties."

Amber talks about the possibility that Sadr's exit from the political scene will mobilize public opinion and demonstrations that benefit from the people's anger.

And last week, Al-Sadr said that "the survival of the Sadrist bloc was an obstacle to forming a government, so all the representatives of the bloc are ready to resign from the House of Representatives and will not disobey me."

Two months before this speech, al-Sadr announced that he would turn to the opposition, calling on his political opponents to form a government.

Al-Amber says that Al-Sadr's move may be suspended pending the formation of the government and highlighting the lapses, deals and consensus that will take place so that the Sadrist movement can benefit from them later.

He added, "The nature of the formation of the government, on whether it is consensual and sharing between the traditional power parties and with the same previous mentality, or it will present courageous and decision-making personalities capable of dealing with street crises, will determine the political forces' awareness of the magnitude of the danger that will be in the coming days."

Sayyid al-Hakim: The void left by the Sadrist movement in Parliament can only be filled by the Sadrists themselves

{Political: Al-Furat News} Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim confirmed, today, Saturday, that the void left by the Sadrist movement's deputies in the House of Representatives can only be filled by the Sadrists themselves.

Mr. Al-Hakim said during his meeting with the elders and dignitaries of the governorate of Babylon in the host of the Al-Issa Al-Tai tribe: “On the second day of our tour in Babylon, the host of Sheikh Adnan and Sheikh Shaker Al-Issawi was the first stop, where we met a number of sheikhs and dignitaries, and we recalled the relations that brought us together with the Al-Issa tribe and its sheikhs. And its symbols, notables, and the roles played by this noble tribe in combating dictatorship and confronting terrorism.

Mr. Al-Hakim mentioned: We praised the sacrifices made by the Al Issa clan and the list of martyrs that they presented from its symbols and competencies, and we clarified the nature of the democratic system, its complexities and its advantages at the same time. The dictatorial regime makes the decision quickly and holds everyone hostage to this decision."

He added, "We stressed the need for the Iraqi experience for frameworks and controls to manage the dispute, and we renewed our regret for the step of the brothers in the Sadrist movement to withdraw from the House of Representatives, and we said that the void they left could only be filled by the Sadrists themselves, and we hope that everyone will attend the political scene to form a government that serves its people."

He continued, "We said that the wisdom is clear in its position not to participate since the first week, and we attributed the reason to the lack of participation in the recent elections and the confused results that they left, as well as our call to form a national service government that restores the confidence of the Iraqi citizen in his political system and bridges the relationship between the two parties, as we called to make the way For honest and competent personalities to take responsibility."

And he added: "We also renewed our call to support the farmer and invest the financial abundance to revive the agricultural, industrial, tourism and investment sectors. There is no value for financial abundance if it does not revive the productive sectors."

Shafaq News/ Informed political sources reported on Saturday, a renewed dispute within the coordination framework that includes all Shiite forces except for the Sadrist movement, while the latter was the main reason for the intersection between the head of the coalition Hadi Al-Amiri on the one hand and the head of the State of Law coalition Nuri al-Maliki and the Secretary of Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq movement On the other hand, Qais Khazali.

The sources told Shafak News Agency; The meeting of the coordination framework, which hosted the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, witnessed a raging of opinions after Al-Kazemi left regarding the necessity of holding a session of Parliament to replace the resigned Sadrist bloc deputies, the opinion that faced opposition and was rejected by Al-Amiri, who called them to wait for Al-Sadr’s response to Al-Amiri’s request.

The sources added; Al-Amiri's refusal to replace the Sadrist deputies caused Al-Maliki and Khazali's resentment, in addition to Al-Amiri's request from the Najaf authority to intervene to put an end to the political blockage.

Agreed! What a bunch of arrogant pukes! This government is not going to formed anytime soon. Don't hold your breath, and stop listening to the "know-it-alls" telling everyone that we are right there. All we need to know is as long as MALIKI is still breathing and the IRAN is in control, well, you know the rest...

  Baghdad: Muhannad Abd al-Wahhab
The coordination framework has intensified its meetings during the past few days on two axes, the first of which is related to the forces involved in its program and the second is the movement towards other political forces, including upcoming meetings with the sovereignty and the Kurdistan Democratic Party. greater in order to achieve the entitlement to form a government.

The representative of the Al-Fateh Alliance, which is affiliated with the coordination framework, Rafiq Al-Salihi, said in an interview with “Al-Sabah”: “The coordination framework intensified meetings in order to reach a solution to the political blockage crisis, and because we live in one united state and despite the differences in views between the political parties, but that the interest of Iraq
above all considerations.
He added, "Political communication with all political blocs is still present at a high level and has not been interrupted, and the coordination framework is continuing with everyone to establish a reality of convergence of views, so the meetings are intense and we are working not to exclude any party at the expense of another."
And he indicated that "the coordinating framework is working on the entry of the Shiite parties as a larger bloc in the House of Representatives and under its dome to choose the prime minister, in addition to bringing the views of the Kurdish parties closer to choosing the president of the republic."
He added that "the goal of the coordination framework is to provide a government of services to the Iraqi people, and to be a strong government in which all political parties represent the people, and we also seek to end the political blockage."
For his part, the political analyst, Mahmoud al-Hashemi, stated in an interview with “Al-Sabah” that “the coordinating framework is trying to take into account the process of resignations submitted by the Sadrist movement, and it takes the aspect of great responsibility considering that it is reformed at the fore, and it must present a number of Suggestions to solve the blockage and fill the void.
He added, "The framework is intensifying its meetings continuously, and the number of these meetings has reached five so far, and the aim is to ripen opinions and ideas for understanding with all parties, and it seems that there are no keys to dialogue or meeting with the Sadrist movement after the tweet of the leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, and not There are those who responded to it, and it is necessary to think about forming the largest bloc without going to the current.”
Al-Hashemi stressed that "this issue called for the holding of many continuous meetings, and it is necessary to open up to the Kurdistan Democratic Party, especially since the Democrat has a previous initiative and it can expand as needed, while the Patriotic Union is engaged with the framework in its ideas," noting that "the result of the meetings It will appear at least in two weeks, after which the ideas can mature and no one can withdraw now.”
He explained that "what is being promoted about the withdrawal of the Democrat from the political process is incorrect and cannot be withdrawn, and the results will be clear during the next two weeks."
In addition, the leader in the coordination framework, Kazem Ali Abbas, said: "The framework forces have a new deadline, which is the legislative parliament holiday, which lasts for a whole month, in order to proceed with the formation of the government."
He added, "After this period, the framework will proceed with the formation of the government, as it awaits the results of efforts to persuade al-Sadr to reverse the decision to withdraw from the political process."
For his part, the leader in the coordination framework, Aid al-Hilali, confirmed the start of negotiations to form the new government, and said: “The negotiations to form the new Iraqi government were actually launched under the leadership of the coordination framework with all political parties, without marginalizing or excluding any party, and there is a positive atmosphere taking place. during the negotiations.
And he indicated that "all political forces, while accelerating the process of forming the new Iraqi government, are well aware that the situation remains as it is currently without any real change, which will create many problems and crises in the coming days."
