I have seen numerous mentions of that on this dinar site. I'm sure many on here have as well. I was just making a blanket statement that apparently when Kuwait made their rate change they were constantly stating it wouldn't be changed and then right after that it was changed without notice. So we shall see!

Thanks for your clarification. As you said, we"ll wait and see.

There it is again-denial of changing the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar. From the Deputy Governor of the CBI, Ammar Khalaf. We were always told only listen to the CBI. Well there we have it again direct from CBI, the Deputy Governor of CBI

May be behind their denial , they have a secret purpose to confuse and keep dinar investors away from owning and buying more dinars. We'll wait and see.

when they repeatedly say they have no plans to change the exchange rate, they definitely have plans to change the exchange rate.

That's what I am thinking, too.

The Central Bank of Iraq confirmed that there is no justification for changing the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar, considering that the economic circumstance is the main criterion for changing the exchange rate.

Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, Ammar Khalaf, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “the exchange rate at the present time, in our belief as a monetary authority, there is no justification for changing it,” explaining, that “changing the exchange rate remains within the monetary authority’s policy and according to circumstances.”

He also pointed out that "during the years from 2004 until now, the exchange rate has changed more than once, depending on the circumstances, whether to increase or decrease."

Today, Sunday, the exchange rates amounted to 1484 dinars per dollar for purchase, and 1483 dinars for sale.

Central Bank of Iraq: "No Future Plan to change Exchange Rate"

Central Bank of Iraq: "No Future Plan to change Exchange Rate" | Iraq Business News (iraq-businessnews.com)

By John Lee.

The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) has said that there is no justification for changing the exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar relative to the US dollar.

CBI Deputy Governor, Ammar Khalaf, confirmed to the official Iraqi News Agency (INA) that, "in our belief as a monetary authority, there is no justification for changing it ... changing the exchange rate remains within the monetary authority's policy and according to circumstances."

He repeated that economic circumstances are the main criterion, and "there is no future plan to change the exchange rate ... there is no justification or need to modify it."

Since the change of regime in Iraq in 2003, many unsophisticated investors in the United States have been persuaded to buy Iraqi dinars in the hope of stratospheric upward revaluations.

Even if they did change the exchange rate back to what it was or near that say what thinking 1200 dinars to 1.00 dollar this would not do any good for us.still a 1/6 of a penny. Plus I feel they would wait another 3 to 5 yrs before they made any future changes. Our only hope wold be they change & put it out as a float or forget hoping for a change of 1200 dinar which again is unless. JMO

Has anyone seen an article from the CBI governor?
I don’t really put to much credibility in the deputy governor because he can always become the fall guy for fake news or fake information.
Let’s hear it from the governor himself, is he to busy to put out an article about the exchange rate not changing? hmmmm

The special of the day is more smoke with a side of smoke

The politicians blow it in our eyes so we can't see the truth

Gurus like to blow that smoke up out rear ends cuz they think it make us feel better

Not so cuz even Smokey Robinson has Tiers of a clown
