Hey malarki. Don't just talk talk and talk. Talk is cheap. Just prove it that you can form a new strong government. Now the only question is how long do you need to form a new strong government? One week? Or one month? Or one year? Or one decade ( hopefully not cause this takes too long )?

Why aren't people in the streets protesting this take over of Malaki's party?

Thinking we could learn from them.  The so called “insurrection” got peoples’ attention.  We should be in the streets protesting our current administration’s inability to function at a capacity greater then or equal to a 3rd grade classroom…sorry for offending 3rd grade teachers.

Barzani: Complicating the differences between Baghdad and the region, no one will win

{Political: Al Furat News} The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, on Thursday, reiterated the need to resolve differences and outstanding issues between the regional government and the federal government.

This came during his meeting with Mark Bryson Richardson, the British ambassador to Iraq, and his accompanying delegation, according to a statement issued by the Kurdistan Region Presidency.

The statement stated that during the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the Iraqi situation, the challenges facing the political process, the Erbil-Baghdad differences, the internal situation and the upcoming Kurdistan Region elections, the reform process in the Ministry of Peshmerga and the organization of its forces, and relations between Britain, Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

According to the statement, the two sides agreed on the importance of the Iraqi forces and parties reaching an understanding to overcome the difficulties facing the political process, and the need to maintain security and political stability in the country, as well as emphasizing the need to improve the service reality in the country.

On the Erbil-Baghdad disputes, President Nechirvan Barzani reiterated that resolving the outstanding differences between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Government is a key to stability and a remedy for Iraq's problems, and the complexity of these differences is not in the interest of any party and no one will win.

The importance of cohesion between the Kurdish parties in Baghdad, cooperation and coordination in the field of combating crime and narcotics, the issue of immigration and migrants, and developments in the region in general was another focus of the meeting.

The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, warned that complicating the problems and crises with Baghdad would not be in the interest of any party.

During his meeting with the British ambassador to Iraq, Barzani stressed the importance of the Iraqi forces and parties reaching an understanding to overcome the difficulties facing the political process.

He also called on the central government in Baghdad to respect the constitutional rights of the region and to deal with it as a federal entity.

This coincides with the region’s endeavor to establish two oil companies, the first specialized in oil exploration, while the second in the export and marketing of crude, after months-long disputes between Erbil and Baghdad following a federal court ruling last February that considered the legal foundations of the oil and gas sector in the semi-autonomous region unconstitutional. .

It coincides with the start of the "coordinating framework" forces to search for the formation of a new government in isolation from the Sadrist movement, whose deputies resigned. The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, who won the largest bloc in the parliamentary elections that took place last October, was allied with the Kurdistan Democratic Party and supported its presidential candidate, in the face of the "coordinating framework" candidate.

However, the resignation of his deputies re-shuffled the cards on the Iraqi political scene, and cast a shadow of ambiguity on the files of forming the government and electing the president, which became a rule in the hands of Sadr's opponents.
