SULAIMANI — The Iraqi Minister of Oil, Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar, said on Friday (April 😎 the ministry has the capability to export more than 3 million 300,000 barrels of oil per day from ports in Basra, state media reported.

Abdul-Jabbar predicted the increase in revenue would bring above what was approved in the Iraqi parliament’s draft budget plan for 2022 and said he was optimistic that the price of oil would continue to increase in 2022, Iraqi news Agency (INA) said.

The oil minister said the extra revenue could be allocated to assist citizens in poverty and to provide for the electricity sector’s budget.

He stated the Iraqi parliament’s finance committee was supportive of the data on Iraq’s oil exports, adding the ministry was making efforts to increase exports as soon as possible and maintain stability in global energy markets.

The finance committee in the Iraqi parliament said on Wednesday the price of oil was set at $75 per barrel in the draft of the federal budget law for 2022.

The Iraqi oil ministry said last week it exported more than 100 million barrels of oil at above $11 billion in March, the highest level since 1972.

Iraq is racing against time to invest in the current oil boom, by expanding and developing its export facilities overlooking the waters of the Arabian Gulf within the Basra Governorate, especially its oil ports through which the majority of Iraqi oil is exported, in conjunction with the rise in global oil prices.

crude to record levels.
Parliament member Ali Al-Faris clarified
He told (Al-Sabah), that "we have sea ports and platforms that carry out export operations as well as oil ports such as the port of Basra and the port of Al-Amaya," adding, "there are projects to extend pipelines from the Faw oil depot to the oil ports and to the export platforms located there," pointing to the imminent completion of the project. The third, fourth and fifth tubes.
For its part, the Iraqi Ports Company is working to improve the design depths of the northern and southern Umm Qasr port to be able to receive ships and large tankers and increase the port's capacity to accommodate the expected rises in oil exports within the next few months.
Anmar Al-Safi, the company's official spokesman, said, "The navigation channels and berth interfaces have been rehabilitated for these ports, including the northern and southern Umm Qasr ports, as well as Khor Al-Zubair." Before the Iraqi Naval Department.” Al-Safi continued, “We have the spiritual platforms for the export of oil, and these terms are very important, and they carry out more than 90% of the business of oil exports.

The Iraqi Ports Company is also working on developing two berths at Khor Al Zubair Port, which has been completely converted into an oil port, with the aim of launching work in it at full capacity and its 16 berths.
Iraq owns four commercial ports overlooking the Arabian Gulf, as well as three oil ports, as well as the large Al-Faw port, which it is hoped will enter service early next year.
The Ports Company had studied a plan to control the entry features of Arab and foreign workers in it, after the Planning and Follow-up Department met with the Information Technology Department and the Passports Division in the company to develop that plan.
The company's general manager, Farhan Al-Fartousi, said: "Iraq's ports are working permanently to organize the work of joint operating companies and their workers who are of different Arab and foreign nationalities, pointing out that many of them work in ports through joint operating contracts and other
Contracts.” For his part, the Assistant Director of the Planning and Follow-up Department, Abbas Kazem Khalaf, explained that the meeting included the Planning and Follow-up Department, Information Technology and the Passport Division in the company’s legal department to develop a plan to control entry visas for foreign and Arab workers working in ports through joint operating contracts and other contracts, stressing This will be done by designing an electronic program and a unified database for all companies to determine the actual need for the required labor.

After 19+ years the waters have been muddied pretty thoroughly as to what Iraq needs to or doesn't need to do & when/if they'll do it. ( you'd think this much procrastinating & arguing would be exhausting: but we've seen some real tenacious stick to " itofnous " huh ).

No doubt " someone " knows what the heck they're doing...and they're playing their cards awfully close to the best.

Just in case, I've already locked in plans that in the EVENT I travel to the great beyond prior to Iraq's long overdue RV/RI EVENT....my wife & kids & grandkids are to benefit from Iraq's if/when EVENT.

oil exports. reducing public debt and doubling cash reserves

oil exports. reducing public debt and doubling cash reserves (alsabaah.iq), may 19, 2022 305oil exports. reducing public debt and doubling cash reserves

baghdad: haidar al-rubaie
the increase in the volume of oil exports, which will reach about 4.5 million barrels from next month, following the increase granted by opec to iraq, was a significant shift in the volume of the country's financial imports, which, according to a number of economic professionals, could contribute to reducing public debt, increasing iraq's hard currency reserves, as well as the possibility of exploiting the surplus of those revenues to establish important strategic projects in various productive sectors that could contribute to the supply of the public budget with financial resources other than oil.
iraq's opec representative, mohammed saadoun, revealed that the organization has agreed to a new increase in iraq's oil quota starting in july and august.
and september.

decision positives
"raising iraq's share of oil production will have a positive impact on the economic reality in the country, especially since this increase will double the financial revenues generated by selling oil, and increase iraq's cash reserves, as well as the importance of this step in increasing the overall budget ratios in various
areas."
according to al khalifa, if the price of a barrel of oil is estimated at $100, oil revenue for june will be in the range of $12.3 billion, while total revenue for the rest of the year will be about $86.100 billion, or about $12 billion. 6.5 trillion dinars, if we assume that the exchange rate is 1470 dinars per dollar, knowing that the federal general budget estimated last year 2021 was in the range of 130 trillion dinars, and this shows us the recovery of revenues for this year thanks to the rise in the price of a barrel
oil.

public debt
al-khalifa stressed the need to take good advantage of this opportunity by reviving investment projects, while reducing expenditures and adhering to the reform white paper provided by the current government.
according to the economist, it is important for the government to work on more than one direction to exploit the financial abundance achieved by the rise in oil prices, putting at the forefront of these trends "reducing public debt and increasing iraq's foreign exchange reserves".

low prices
despite the positives achieved by increasing oil prices globally and increasing iraq's export capacity, khalifa expressed concern that the prices of "black gold" could decline in the coming periods, pointing out: "oil is a commodity like the rest of the goods subject to the supply and demand equation and therefore any decision to increase oil production, and for any producing country, will affect the price of world oil, so opec's decision to raise the production ceiling for its members will result in a decrease in the price of a barrel of world oil." the economist's "concerns" coincided with the u.s. energy information administration's weighting, which lowered oil price expectations by more than 3%, this year.
"the legislation passed by a senate committee on the nobke bill, which aims to lower oil prices in order to break cartel decisions, is therefore expected to indicate that the price of a barrel of oil for next year will be in the range of $90-100," he said.

export share
iraq's opec representative, mohammed saadoun, confirmed that the organization had agreed to a new increase in iraq's oil quota starting in july and august.
and september. "the production ceiling will reach 4.5 million barrels per day in june," saadoun told al-iraqiya tv.
next." "iraq has the right to increase its production according to the production ceiling, and there will be another increase during the months of july, august and september by 50,000 barrels per month, and then iraq reaches the normal level of its reference production," he said, noting that "the plans of the ministry of oil include a gradual increase and investment of the increase it has granted."

Parliamentary Oil and Gas reveals the ministry’s plan to increase daily production

{Economic: Al Furat News} A member of the Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee, Deputy Ali Shaddad, revealed today, Saturday, the Ministry of Oil's intention to reach Iraq's daily production of crude oil to 8 million barrels per day by 2027.

Shaddad said in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, "The Ministry of Oil has developed a set of development plans to increase the daily production of crude oil, represented by drilling new oil wells, as seven oil wells have been completed in the Halfaya oil field in Maysan Governorate, and drilling and exploration operations are still ongoing." Reclamation continues in most of the oil sites.

He added, "The Ministry of Oil has concluded several agreements with Chinese and other American companies to conduct drilling and exploration operations within a medium-term plan to drill and reclaim (200) oil wells in several regions of the country."

He pointed out that "Iraq has a large oil stockpile, but what hinders the development processes and the rapid increase in production is the obsolescence of the infrastructure and the inability of the available ones to keep pace with the growth in production and export," noting that "one of the most important of these obstacles is the lack of a network of pipelines to connect the oil fields." in export ports.
