It's really insane that this is how our country works now. 

People "commit suicide" or "pass away in their sleep" just days or hours before they are supposed to give meaningful testimony, and the entire world is like "nothing to see here, please disperse."

Now we may not ever know why the Capitol didn't have enough Security obviously someone did not want him to testify. Hopefully the witnesses who already testified and any potential witness will have protection.
