Economy News _ Baghdad

In its new session, the Baghdad International Book Fair witnessed the signing ceremony of a series of new books by Professor Samir Al-Nusairi, a brilliant figure in the field of economic, financial and banking work.

Al-Nusairi spoke about the support and care he received from the former and current governors of the Central Bank and the Association of Iraqi Private Banks, pointing to the "distinguished effort of the Central Bank and banks in supporting, stimulating and revitalizing the national economy during recent years."
Al-Nusairi has ten books discussing economic, financial and banking reform, a weekly article, and specialized studies and research.
The new books include nine chapters and one hundred and forty-four topics with more than 600 pages and a set of appendices of the instructions and documents issued in these years (the crisis years) and issued by the government and the Central Bank of Iraq.
Professor Samir Al-Nusairi discussed the economic situation of Iraq, which has gone through economic and financial shocks and economic stagnation due to the spread of the Corona pandemic, the decline in oil prices globally since 2014, and unclear and ambiguous policies in the vision of treatments and comprehensive reform.
The books of Professor Samir Al-Nusairi represent a realistic and balanced vision for reforming the banking sector. This series of books includes analyzes, diagnoses, challenges, clear policies and quick solutions to the current reality.
Noting that the attendance of the ceremony was elitist, as it was attended by university professors, pioneers and experts in banking, the Academic Coordination Committee of the Association, some authorized directors, an audience of university students and families interested in economic activity.
