US oil production fell in 2020 for the first time by 4 years

US oil production fell in 2020 for the first time by 4 years

February 26, 2021 11:39 PM
Direct: Oil production in the United States fell for the first time in four years in 2020, as the epidemic reduced global demand for crude.

According to US Energy Information Administration data, today, Friday, US crude production averaged 11.313 million barrels per day last year, down about 8 percent from the previous year.

The level recorded in 2020 is the lowest of oil production since 2018, and it represents the largest percentage decline since 1949.

Many oil companies shut down production fields and suspended drilling rigs, after the health crisis led to a decline in demand for petrol, diesel and jet fuel derived from crude.

Last year, Texas, the largest oil producing state, saw production drop by more than 200,000 barrels per day compared to the previous year.

Production in the Gulf of Mexico decreased to 1.654 million barrels per day last year, from 1.896 million in 2019.

Biden’s oil EO’s put thousands of people out of work and has wrecked the economies of numerous towns, cities, and states.  You won’t see any news stories on this anywhere in the media.

Those people will not forget in 2022 and 2024.

Speaking of oil states ....I have friends in Texas, they support Texas independence. My two cents :twocents: on it is Texas should leave the Union, they would do better on their own. This is not my first rodeo on this topic.

:rodeo:

In Canada one of our provinces (which is the same as an American state) wanted to leave Canada, a while back. That was Quebec. For cultural reasons they almost left Canada and almost started their own French speaking country. In many ways Canada never really worked well, we kept on doing the same stupid repeating patterns.  :rake:

The vote to leave was very close, the political party that wanted Quebec to leave Canada 🍁 and start their own French country got 49.5% of the vote. I supported that movement, I thought Canada would be better off if Quebec were it's own country....even though I really really love Quebec culture and the French Canadians, have lots of them in my extended family. ⚜️

I support those Texans who want their own country. :cowboy1: Washington will never listen to Texas, will never stop sticking it's nose in everyone's business. Same thing happened in Canada.

To my American friends: keep believing in freedom. Don't be in a bad marriage or a bad job or a bad country if things don't change. 🍁:flagsmiley::twocents:

Canadian rock band trooper said it best, in a song "Raise a little hell"
