On Sunday, Military Intelligence announced the seizure of a counterfeiting currency printing press in Baghdad, and the arrest of its owner.  

  

 

  

  

And the intelligence said in a statement that “Nass” received a copy of it (May 8, 2022), that it “confirms its efforts to pursue organized crime gangs and outlaw elements that are trying to destroy the national economy and in the light of accurate intelligence information from the 11th Division Intelligence Division and in coordination with the Intelligence Department of Operations Command. Baghdad and the intelligence of the Third Regiment, the 42nd Infantry Brigade, and the Security Directorate of Sadr City, one of the dens that prints counterfeit currency was raided, the forger was arrested, and the forgery printer was seized with an amount of five million forged Iraqi dinars.  


She added, "The accused and the criminal evidence were handed over to the competent authority in accordance with the provisions of Article 289 for falsifying his work so that legal measures can be taken against him."

{Umniah: Al Furat News} The security services arrested two accused of promoting fake sums of money in the category of {five thousand dinars} in the capital, Baghdad.

The Agency of the Ministry of Interior for Police Affairs said in a statement that Al-Furat News received a copy of it, "A number of defendants were arrested for stealing sums of money, residential homes, shops, motorcycles, tech bikes, and other defendants wanted in various criminal cases within the Karkh and Rusafa sides in the capital, Baghdad." .
He referred to "the arrest of a suspect for stealing 20,000 US dollars from a woman's bag in the Mansour area," pointing out that "all legal measures were taken against them and brought to justice to receive their just punishment."
