The regional office of the International Organization confirms that there are no defects in the Iraqi aviation communications system

The Ministry of Transport announced, on Tuesday, that there are no defects in the Iraqi aviation communications system.  

  

 

The Director General of the General Company for Air Navigation Services, Nizar Ibrahim Al-Ziyadi, said in a statement that “NAS” received a copy of it (June 21, 2022), that “the repeated directives of the Minister of Transport, Captain Nasser Hussein Al-Shibli, stipulated that great importance be attached to developing the company’s infrastructure and providing distinguished services to airlines. international and domestic civil.   

  

He added that "the confirmation by the regional office of the international organization that there are no defects in the aviation communication systems in Iraqi air navigation is an achievement for the employees of the General Company for Air Navigation in general and the owners of the aviation communications department in particular."  

  

He stated that "the confirmation came during the meetings of the Air Navigation Conference, which was held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia last February, where the Regional Office of the Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) presented at the conference a report on the weaknesses and defects in air navigation for member states, and after the results appeared, the report did not record any point. A defect or weakness in the aviation communication systems in our company, thanks to the efforts of the senior management of the Ministry of Transport, the company’s senior management, and the national cadres in the company’s aviation communications department.”

Minister of Transport: We are working to separate airports from the aviation authority
  
{Local: Al Furat News} Minister of Transport Nasser Hussein Al-Shibli announced that Iraq is working to separate airports from the Civil Aviation Authority.

A statement by the ministry said that Al-Shibli "met today, Thursday, on the land of the Turkish capital, Ankara, with the Secretary-General of the International Civil Aviation Organization and the Director-General of the Aviation Organization in the Middle East."
During the meeting, Al-Shibli indicated that "Iraq was one of the first countries that joined the organization and signed the civil aviation agreement, and Iraq has a rich history of achievements in the field of civil aviation."
He added, "The topics related to civil aviation security in Iraq and the training of cadres working in the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority and the importance of completing the procedures related to the USOAP program, which the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority seeks to complete its requirements as it is considered one of the requirements for lifting the European ban imposed on Iraqi airlines, were discussed."
The Minister of Transport said that "Iraq is currently working on separating the service provider (airports) from the authority in implementation of the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization, where the Secretary-General of the organization praised this and stressed the need to separate the authority from the service provider."
For his part, the Secretary-General of the International Organization stated that "Iraq is one of the most important member states, and the organization seeks to help Iraq in the field of civil aviation."

Fly Baghdad officially announces its accession to the Arab Air Transport Association
  
{Local: Al Furat News} Fly Baghdad Company announced, today, Wednesday, that it has officially joined the Arab Air Transport Association.
 

The company stated in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, “It has officially joined the Arab Air Transport Association, which is represented by the Arab aviation service and its common interests, in a way that enhances its operational effectiveness and passenger service within a framework of commitment to competition laws and others to be an important Arab imprint for Fly Baghdad and a mark we are proud of at the level of Civil aviation to achieve Arab cooperative goals.

Transportation is discussing with the American company Boeing the receipt of modern Iraqi planes
  
{Local: Al Furat News} Minister of Transport Nasser Hussein Bandar Al-Shibli met today, Thursday, with the representative of the American Boeing Company (Herb and Alan) about receiving modern Iraqi planes (737MAX) and {Dreamliner}.

A statement by the ministry stated that Al-Furat News Agency received a copy of it that Al-Shibli directed, during the meeting, "to give approvals to the Director General of Iraqi Airways, Abbas Omran, to sign supplementary contracts and technical documents for aircraft (737MAX and 787), and also directed the Flight Operations Department of Iraqi Airways in cooperation with the company. Buenke to receive the ground simulator system for the plane (737MAX) as a gift to the Iraqi Airways company."

The Minister of Transport also appointed him "the technical department in cooperation with the company [Boeing] and openness to the countries of Europe through the Director General of Airlines and the Director of the Technical Department, as well as work on conducting heavy checks and engines in sober European companies and going to Europe to increase the degree of reliability of the Iraqi Airways company in addition to working Pool Agreement between Poinc Corporation, Iraqi Airways and KLM Dutch International.

He pointed out that "the technical department has submitted contracts with solid and large companies in Europe, which is considered an increase in the Iraqi-European transactions, because such matters support the position of Iraqi Airways to open up towards Europe," revealing, "to proceed with the contract with Fokker, the aircraft manufacturer and provider of services for aircraft as well. A contract was signed with KLM, one of the reputable companies in the Netherlands, which is integrated with AIR FRANCE, instructing to bring spare equipment for aircraft from reputable international companies.”

At the same time, the Minister of Transport emphasized the maintenance of aircraft engines and auxiliary power engines (APU) in reputable European and international companies, instead of going to submerged companies and starting the pre-payment system, because these international companies only work by pre-payment for aircraft maintenance.

Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed the details of a meeting attended by the Ambassador of the European Union in Baghdad, Villa Variola, to discuss lifting the ban imposed on Iraqi Airways.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that "the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Safiya Talib Al-Suhail, and the Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, held a meeting today, Thursday, of the committee to lift the ban imposed on Iraqi Airways, in the presence of the European Union ambassador in Baghdad, Villa Variola."

And she added, "The meeting took place in the presence of the ambassador of the European Union mission in Baghdad, Villa Fariola, to brief him on the latest developments in the technical and technical follow-up on the issue, and representatives of the concerned Iraqi ministries and authorities."

According to the statement, during the meeting, the undersecretary stressed "the high-level interest and direct supervision of the ministry to complete all requirements for lifting this ban, as it is a strategic file for the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in which it is making great efforts, at the level of the ministry's center and all our missions in European countries, given the great keenness to return The national carrier to Europe.

 

The statement indicated that, "during the meeting, the efforts made by the Iraqi technical authorities to lift this ban and meet European air safety conditions were reviewed, in order to ensure the achievement of the required results in this vital and important file."
