The meeting discussed, according to the statement, "the file of compensation for the Iraqi nuclear reactor that was bombed by the Zionist entity in 1981, and the ways and mechanisms for claiming compensation for Iraq, based on UN Security Council Resolution No. 487 of 1981, according to the legal means and options that ensure Iraq obtains its rights." in accordance with international laws and conventions.

Not everything has statute of limitations. Take murder for example for which there is no statute of limitations and charges can be brought at anytime, hence cold case files in their solving bringing charges decades later. Latest example of this is the Emmett Till murder in which the Federal Government reopened the cold case in 2004 and 2017 and finally closed the case in 2021. FYI the Emmett Till murder is the one that spawned the infamous Mississippi 1955 trial (and movie Mississippi Burning) which charged and tried two white men for murder. They were subsequently acquitted by a jury after the jury deliberated for a little over an hour. There were some issues with the trial that led to issues with the trial.

In the ME, they are still crying over something that ended in 1291 A.D.  IF you don't know what I am talking about, what was the one word after 9-11 that Bush Jr. ran into trouble with?  His quote was "This crusade, this war on terrorism, is going to take a while." His words sparked outrage and some can link this to actually starting, exponentially, the catalyst of which we see today in the United States.

There are no statute of limitations where the ME is concerned.
