 Baghdad: morning

Yesterday, Saturday, Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein expected the formation of the new government within a short period.
Hussein said, in a speech during the Antalya Diplomatic Conference: "Iraq was dominated by dictatorship for nearly 40 years, and we started working little by little. Five months ago, elections were held, and now the conversation with political parties continues."
He added, "Iraq is not the only democratic country that is facing difficulty. The Belgians tried to form a government, and the country remained without a government for a year and a half."
Yesterday, Saturday, Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein stressed the importance of concerted efforts by oil-producing countries to confront economic challenges. On the sidelines of the forum, the Minister of Foreign Affairs met with his Venezuelan counterpart Felix Placencia Gonzalez, and the two sides held political talks that touched on the overall bilateral relations between the two countries, and consultations on a number of regional and international issues of common concern. Iraq to establish the best relations with the various countries of the world to activate common interests and confront common dangers,” he said, pointing to “the importance of coordination in international forums and the United Nations, and working to spread a culture of dialogue and peace, and to ensure security and stability in the countries of the world.” The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for "the concerted efforts of the oil-producing countries to confront the serious economic challenges facing the world."
For his part, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister expressed "his country's desire to strengthen bilateral relations with Iraq," pointing to "the need to work on investing in relations, and to discuss ways of rising oil prices and its repercussions on the OPEC countries."
