The big argument in GOI right now is the ordinary citizens & poor Iraqis have not benifited one iota with all this new found wealth through oil sales & prices.

I thought SWIFT was only used by banks for inter-bank transfers.  🤨

yes correct i am trying to have 3000$ sent to me by a bank using swift and no luck been trying for weeks.

All rumors aside, I think we can all agree that there is a feeling in the air that something is about to happen with the IQD. With oil being so high right now and countries around the world cutting off Russian Oil imports, this is the BEST time for Iraq to quietly RV/RI their currency without even a mention of it on the news!

I mentioned Swift days ago , saying that Iraq was not on the list of countries using Swift. Iraq may have quit Swift recently. Frankly , I look at the rumor section before I look at the news section . While the news is properly sourced , it is loaded with b,s.  There are kernels of truth in both of course.

Zain financial system , very similar to Swift , was licensed  by the CBI years ago , but this system appears to have been suspended ,perhaps coinciding with the CBI  being closed . Mobil Gas uses this system .
