Fed Study On Digital Currency Leans Toward Role For Banks:

The Federal Reserve on Thursday released a highly anticipated report on central bank digital currencies that suggested it is leaning toward having banks and other financial firms, rather than the Fed itself, manage digital accounts for customers.

An official US digital currency could offer potential benefits to American consumers & businesses, but it is not clear they would outweigh the potential risks, the Federal Reserve said Thursday.  In a long-awaited report on central bank digital currencies (CBDC), the Fed stressed that it is not taking a position nor does the paper signal "any imminent decisions about the appropriateness of issuing a US CBDC."

Representative of the State of Law coalition, Hussein Nehme, confirmed, on Thursday, that the next parliament session will put the file of the high exchange rate on the parliament table.

Nehme said in a statement to the “Information” agency, that “There Is A Great Parliamentary Move By Members Of The State Of Law To REDUCE The DOLLAR Exchange Rate & RETURN It To Its PREVIOUS Position,” Noting That “Our PROJECT In The 5th Session Is To REDUCE The Price Of The DOLLAR.”

He added that “there are great moves to put the dollar file on the parliament table in the next session to ensure a reduction in its price in the coming days.” He pointed out that “the rise in the price of the dollar by the government raised the prices of all foodstuffs and made the market in a very difficult situation due to the rise, which directly affected the citizens.”

The Gurus insists everything is done in Iraq & the US is the real holdout by not going digital gold backed.  There are several articles out today of the USD going digital, soon.  Then, what excuse will they use next?  IMO.
