During negotiations concerning reparations ,Kuwait would have shot themselves in the foot by agreeing to a low iqd rate. It would have a negative affect on oil trade as well . Just a few days ago we read that they have paid off their debt to Kuwait and now its announced that the port for trade between the two countries is going to be opened. Now if I'm from Kuwait and I trade with Iraq I'm not gonna be happy with giving them my high valued currency for a very small valued currency. It makes zero cents.
